Again FFun will not be heavily represtented cos not many people want to play it for 10 straight games. But it has remarkably good matchups against most of the meta at the moment.
If you are going to get Cosmic then it has to be a very well-timed NTZ. If they can win the game there then they will respond with all they've got.
It's hard to name Child because you have to get it at a relevant moment, like on turn 4 onwards, and by then you can't respond to Mr. Fantastic or Invisible Womans' recruit because they're already in play.
Wow, I'm glad to see Avengers getting respect. I played Avengers at the Atlanta 10K and did poorly, but I'm certainly not the best player. My deck was too focused on basic curve and I didn't exploit the Reservists like I should have. In my first match, I had one CS player shaking in his boots (thanks, Warbird) then made a collosal error and lost the game.
By the way, I squeezed of several uses of Earth's Mightiest Heroes that day, so that card isn't entirely worthless.

The avengers are certainly a powerful deck. I played a game last night were I had no play until turn 4 and was still able to come from back, being 25 endurance down on turn 7 for the win. Their characters are massive, they have the ability to stun back when the opponant attacks down the curve, and they have some nice tricks on turn 6 & 7.

No. Just, no. Just because it is possible to play a card doesn't mean you should.
I personally believe that the meta will be much faster than what all of you seem to think. I think most games will be over around turn 5 or 6. I expect decks like Tactics will do very well as many players aren't seeing the overall benefit of playing NTZ. In fact, if NTZ stays at home I think a deck like Tactics could see the top spot after day 1. Avengers also has ways of winning early in a game. I think Titans has an excellent chance of making a firm comeback as well. After day 1 I don't expect to see any deck that curves above 6 in the top 8. This PC will be the end of CS for a couple of reasons. I think most pros no better than to play it and thus the skill level of the people playing CS drops tremendously. And I flat out don't see how curve will win more than 5 or 6 matches with such a fast meta.
Originally posted by luffy NTZ will name Cosmic Radiation. Cos, those F4 guys will play ACNV, so it is pointless to name ACNV.
NTZ has no way of hurting this deck... if they do name Cosmic and you have human torch and enough toys to win you can do it all in response to it...
The card that totally screws this deck up is Micro-Sentinels... and I don't see that being played...
I've been testing FFun against MKKO, Titans, CS and Reservist and Titans are the hardest match up. You just need to do things after they do and you might be fine...
I would really like to see someone making it with these guys...
