I'm both shocked and happy that a BBH build made it to the top 8. I kept telling my local bud who LOVES all BHood builds to stick Kelex in his deck, maybe now he'll listen to me!
I hope that somehow though, this 10K will shut up the whiners who say Golden is busted. If anything, this should show that Golden is probably the most balanced format ATM.
I don't even know what Good Guys is. I hate it when people name their decks something dumb and random so no one but the "in" crew know what they're talking about.
Good Guys refers to a deck with some amalgamation of ally abilities (typically JLA/JLI). I hate the name Good Guys, but since all Vs deck names (except G'lock) are absolutely terrible, it may as well be used to reference the other posts mentioning it.
Oh yeah, and toolboxing is great and all, but boo Avengers. Yay, stall deck!
EDIT: Heh, you beat me to it. No disrespect, as you are obviously a great player and deck maker, but I assume what you just posted is the reason people think Good Guys isn't competitive. There's a better deck list than that.
I am an ardent opponent of outright net-decking. But I am salivating over the Doc Libght/Puppet Master/Poison Ivy goodness I am seeing! That is a thing of beauty. There are so many other builds I can see that dropping right into.

Delicious.
How about this one. Justice League of Arkham/Hope/Dr. Light/Xaviers School?
Possible 3 cards off opponents hand on turn 4. If only there were a way to do that during your opponents initiative so they would miss a drop.

Oh I agree their are better versions, that was just the first one I found when I searched Good Guys in g-mail. Put that one in as something so people could see how the deck worked.
But despite that I don't think this is an outright bad version of the deck, it is actually quite good, though it does need a couple of small changes.
For instance no-one is running Unmasked at the moment, so Monitor Womb Station could come out... which would mean New Era and Psychoville would come out. This would mean you would need another answer to 3-drop Kang, so you would most likely include 1 High-Tech Flare Gun. After that you have 3 spaces for something good, (maybe Betrayal). Also running Total Anarchy is a must (in my opinion) for this deck.
After that you would have a version that may not look that "clean" but is actually quite good, (though still not a perfect decklist).
The deck aims to win turn 6... generally with Fire burning for a huge amount.
There is a local deck being played that consistently gets rid of your hand on 5. It can be brutal. I have even seen it ditch yoru hand on 5, before you lay a resource, and then force you to KO your resources on top of that.
