Phantom Stranger is VERY cool ... never knew he was a member of the JSA. Hoping he gets a Shadowpact version as well.
Anyway, his power is MONEY for JSA/JLA Ally builds ... giving you a Harley Quin character with a built in bouncing mechanism [which also gives you a way to exhaust characters].
And he's a nice willpower character with nice defence ... which can team up with the JLA willpower build ...
Did they put it up early accidentally? Because the thread discussing it doesn't exist anymore, but if you search you can see the card (though it's hard to read). Seems like they goofed up, unless it's just my computer.
Kairos- I have the same problem. I can't find it under search though. It looks like Starcity reverted to how the front looked like a week ago. I got the text from a friend who saw it though.
Discard Phantom Stranger >>> Power-up target JSA attacker or defender. Use this power only if The Phantom Stranger is in your hand.
Exhaust two characters you control >>> Return The Phantom Stranger from your KO'd pile to your hand. Use this power only during the build phase and only if The Phantom Stranger is in your KO'd pile.

But JSA? Never in my recollection.
I assume this was done to make the JSA's identity mechanics more useful in formats that only involve DCR. Going by that logic, it stands to reason that every character with even a marginal connection to the JSA who appears in one of the other four main teams in this set will also get a JSA version, because different versions of the same character have the same identity by default.

Well, we already know that that the Earth-2 version of Batman is a Gotham Knight from the teaser sight. I assume this version of Kal-L was not given the Team Superman dual affiliation because his first ability doesn't support their themes and his boost ability is utterly useless to them. I'm not too upset about it though, because I doubt this is the only version of Kal-L we'll see.

The Stranger doesn't *have* a marginal connection to the JSA. He's never worked with the team as a whole - his involvement with them has been limited to the occasional teamup with Dr. Fate, for crissake. He's never even appeared in an issue of any JSA comic.

I eagerly await to see JLA versions of D-Man, Mr. Immortal and War Machine. I mean, they printed JLA/Avengers. All of them appeared for a whole panel!
Also, your reasoning is wrong. The only characters with identities are those with the diamond thingy, as according to the comprehensive rules. If there's a Shadowpact version of Phantom Stranger, he does nothing for a mechanic based around identities.
