They already put the greatest DC speedster in this set - Jay Garrick ! Well, at least he's my favorite one :) . Him and Alan Scott, my two favorite Golden Age characters, together at last !
Hmmm, wonder if Jay will have the Speed Force affiliation ? Probably not, but nice to dream.
And boy, wouldn't it be cool if they did a Kingdom Come Flash ? Once again, wishful thinking :) .
I think this set was originally planned as a JSA set that was later thematically wrapped in Infinite Crisis by the supportting cards. If this was to have been a true Infinite Crisis set and only that then the primary affiliation should have been JLA, but that one was already done in the last set. It was even said on Metagame that they made this set more of a Crisis set in general to cover both Infinite Crisis and Crisis on Infinite Earths.

All the more reason that they should have included Wally.
I mean, it would've been one thing to exclude him from this set if he had be included in the JLA set. But he wasn't, and it's seriously baffling to me why they would not print Wally.
Am I the only one who remembers that this set finished being designed over a year ago, when the countdown books where just starting?

Number 4. Why the Hell is there 3 versions of Alex Luthor and Calculator they don't deserve them. You could've had more space for other characters then using multiple versions! I mean SBP got one version and he did more then Alex!
Number 5. Why the hell did all the Shadowpact main characters get 2 versions they didn't need it, The Shadowpact should've had Mary Marvel and Captain Marvel Jr. they could have dual affiliation with JLA and Titans and Manitou Dawn wasn't even apart of it and Zantanna only needed one version!.
Number 9. Why the Hell Wasn't Jason Rusch <> Firestorm made I mean you made Jaime so why not Jason?
Number 10. I think Jason Todd <> Red Hood should've been in this set more then the stupid Arkham people.
Number 11. Why the hell isn't Chemo made, he blew up Bludhaven and started a storyline and why isn't Bludhaven a freakin Location.
Number 14. Why isn't Hawkwoman made I mean she died in R/T W and why wasn't Blackfire made or Charley Parker <> Golden Eagle, they were important in Hawkman.
Number 15. This Set is too small for INFINITE CRISIS, it is a CRISIS I mean so many of the members in Checkmate aren't even apart of it.
Number 16. Back to the Green Lanterns have you seen the Cover of IC 7 there are alot of them.
Number 17. Doomsday isn't even here I mean he is the big villain.
Number 19. Why Wasn't Owen Mercer or some of the other Rogues in here, they are big people.
Number 21. Where the hell is Booster Gold, Ted Kord and Fire they all had important parts.
Number 22. You have all the other freakin Golden Age members so why wasn't Ted Knight and Al Pratt made along with Jack Knight?
Number 23. Um Captain Nazi was pretty big where the hell is he?
Number 24. Nabu, um he kind of was the one who stopped the Spectre where the heck is he?
Number 25. Crispus Allen, I believe he is going to be important so why not a Crispus Allen<> Spectre character?
Number 27. Knockout is apart of the Secret Six she should have been Dual affilated.
Number 28. Black Lightning, Joto, Risk, Argent the rest of the Titans, the Doom Patrol were kind of big and even S.T.R.I.P.E. should've been there.
Number 29. You have Charles Mcnider and No Pieter Anton Cross ok which one is alive during IC and is helpful?
Number 30. what about the Space team they were in it more then Checkmate was.
Number 31. Batman's Team against Brother I, should've been made.
Number 32. Why is there no Wonder Woman, besides the Earth 2 one?
Number 33. Martian Manhunter and the others who powered the Tower Should've been there especially Lady Quark.
Number 34. There should've been alot more obscure characters in this, Did you even see the Villains United Special?
Number 35. Brother Eye, I believe warrants A Character Card, like Mogo.
Number 37. They Should've had Rann and Thanagar as main Teams in this Set as well as the Teen Titans.
Number 38. The Seven Deadly sins could've been in this set.
Number 39. I think there should've been more equipment, The Steel Eagle, The Sword of Night, the Infernal Trident, Nth Metal, Wings, Hard-Light Equipment, Jakeem's Pen, Blue Beetle's Ship, The Scarab.
Number 40. New Cronus should've been a location as well as Metropolis, Battleground, Smallville, The Twilight Island.
Upper Deck didn't know any of this stuff this was going to happen when they designed the set. All they knew was the bare bones information Upper Deck gave them.
Ease up on them guys. They can't see into the damn future.

This is the perfect example of what I'm talking about. The Villains United special came out this week. It hadn't been written yet at the time they designed the set. It probably hadn't even been plotted yet.
While I feel Yamcha may have been a bit too nitpicky, the lack of a Wally West Flash cannot be attributed to the fact that "UDE didn't know." UDE DID know that fans wanted a Wally; UDE DID know fans were upset there wasn't one in the JLA set.
And I would speculate that UDE knew that Wally would play some part in IC, therefore warranting a card in the set. I would also speculate that they knew Conner was going to die, or at least that he was going to be an integral character in the story.
I can forgive UDE for some things, but not for these two.
(coming in third is the lack of a Nightwing, but at least he's got a few versions already).
I'm not saying the reasoning is perfect nor that the great and mighty UDE is infallible. Personally I don't think Lex Luthor has needed as much exposure over the last two DC sets as he has (6 or 7 versions now including RS). Considering The Flash has been my favorite superhero since I was 10 I wish he would have had more coverage since in both Crisis series Barry Allen and Wally West have had big influential parts.
If this were more Crisis "generalized" then the Anti-Monitor should get a new version. Anti-Matter was already covered in GL though. Barry Allen was in the last DC set, I think they just want to spread things out a bit since the Speedforce affiliation is likely to be heavily saturated with the different Flash versions. Maybe Wally West SHOULD have been in this to keep it thematically correct, however the story is not yet complete and perhaps Bart Allen will have a bigger influence on the story arc than Wally has had thus far. Wally could have been a legacy character for JLA, but then when would be the best time to introduce Adam Strange with the Rann affiliation along with Rann location? He also was a big part of Infinite Crisis.
It's all a balancing act which I am glad is not on my shoulders. I am sure that UDE had their reasons as they have mentioned in the past as to “why wasn’t ______ included in the set?” Usually it has come down to knowing that ______ is going to be heavily given attention in another upcoming set.

What makes you so sure? Did you know Conner was going to die back in 2005?

Quiet, fool! If UDE was going to make a Crisis set, they should have invested in the Dolorian and the plutonium to make it run!
Then they should have made a commitment to include 81,532 cards, so that no obscure role would have been left out, and included at least eleven versions of every character who has ever been popular, so that no fanboy would have to wait a few sets for his favorite character!
Originally posted by Bizarro #98 What makes you so sure? Did you know Conner was going to die back in 2005?
Simply the fact that I used the word "speculate" implies that I am NOT "so sure."
HOWEVER, UDE was given storyline information from DC in order to make this set. In my opinion, the death of Conner Kent is the "defining death" of IC (just as Supergirl was the defining death of CoIE), and I would think that UDE would have been given this information.
If they WERE given this info, as I believe, then I am angry at UDE for excluding Conner from the set.
If I am wrong, and UDE didn't know about Conner's death, then I'm not mad at UDE, I'm mad at DC for not supplying what I think is necessary storyline information to a company that is making a storyline-based set.
1. Wally West Is being saved for the next set and is the MAIN character for Speed Force. so quit whining.
2. Conner Kent should deffinetly have gotten an extra card or two. He is a major player in the IC and should have gotten a spot. UDE, you slipped up.
3. Chemo plays a minor part in the IC. At best he should be a plot twist, not a character. He plays more with the aftermath of IC, not on any mainstream points.

And what if DC hadn't decided if they were going to kill off Conner or not at the at point?
It would've been pretty embarrassing if Upper Deck put a card of him dieing in the set and then he didn't.
1) They didn't need to put a card of him dying. Just a character card.
2) It's been said in various interviews that the IC storyline has not changed since it started. So Conner's death was something that was planned from the beginning.
