Another idea could be the expand the concept of the Infinity Watch ... including not just the members of that team, but the other people who have held the Gems.
There's also the Ego gem/Nemesis, but that's likely not going to count as it's from a crossover with Malibu comics.
The 6 people that Thanos took the gems from originally are Champion (Power), Gardener (Time), Collector (Reality), In Betweener (Soul), Grand Master (Mind), Runner (Space) ... so they could be seen as the 'original watch'.
We talked about Infinity Watch alot earlier in the thread, but wow, there's alot of info here that I, at least, was completely unaware of. The only other Infinity Watch team member I could find that hadn't been used was Maxam, who briefly held the Infinity Gem.
Do you have any specific mechanic ideas for these?
The Gardener only used the Time Gem to speed up the growth of his plants. So, his ability could be like Sensai and he could let you search for a location and put it in your resource row.

Location search has long been established as being a very powerful ability.
Ahmed loses the game just by dying, and yet he still sees play in some strong decks.
Poison Ivy 2-Drop has long been considered a "power-rare", and I've seen alot of people team-up with or splash inhumans almost soley because of San.
Although not quite as powerful as plot-twist search as an ability, location search is an incredibly powerful concept as in the right deck it can meta against most anything as well as character search itself if you run a location with character search, not to mention getting you easy access to alot of your own tech.
Now, your idea for The Gardener makes perfect mechanical sense ... I'm just saying it's an ability you want to be very careful with ... it could easily get out of hand.
Here would be the associated powers of the original 'Elders of the Universe' who held the gems.
The Gardener - Obsessed with his garden of course
The Runner - He has ability of speed. He seeks freedom and wishes to see everything in the universe.
The Collector - As his name suggests, he collects. Specifically, he collected different life forms to protect them from the threat of Thanos. He knew of this threat because of his power of foresight.
The Grandmaster - He's the master of most games. He has the ability to know probabilities and rules at will. He also has the ability to will someone's death and bring someone back from the brink of death.
The Champion - Nearly limitless ammount of strength, having destroyed a planet with a single punch.
The In-Betweener - Everything and nothing at the time ... basically he is supposed to represent all dualities so he's a balancing force.
As such, the various effects would lend themselves towards the following:
Gardener - Something involving Locations ... either benefitting FROM locations, or searching for locations.
Runner - Speedster Effect
Grandmaster - Perhaps the ability to KO or recover stun characters?
Champion - Either large stats, or increasing stats
In-Betweener - An effect that allows you to balance things out [i.e. draw if you have less than your opponent, gain endurance if you have less than your opponent, something like that ...] Maybe even one that works like June Moon [will swap back and forth between players].
Collector - Character tutoring [collecting life forms] or deck stacking/cycling [foresight].
EDIT:
Almost forgot ...
Grandmaster, Collector and Gardener should likely be concealed, and the In-Betweener should, naturally, be Concealed-Optional. The Runner and the Champion are fine as visible [although the Runner could work as someone that can move all over the board].
Here's some suggestions:
(a) Gardener -> As a character he gives locations revealed from hand Terraform, while used from hand he could be a Scandal for locations. Remove him from the game to get a location if you control an Infinity Watch.
(b) Collector -> As a character he has some sort of tutoring for a character effect [maybe a 1-drop that shuffles itself back in to get a character] and from hand it has a cycle effect [i.e. discard it and something else to draw 2 cards, or something like that]
1. secret six should not get any more low cost characters. I love them to death and they are by far my favorite mini team but if too many characters are printed it becomes easier to fill their board and maybe too easy to win. A new s6 6-8 drop would be fine, but not 1-5. Maybe an 8 drop with a use from hand ability?
2. some new skrull stuff would be cool. Their theme is perfectly fitting for a mini-team(team up with other affiliations). A midnight sons type card for the skrulls would be the hottest thing in the world.

A 5-drop ... even a 4-drop ... wouldn't be that big a deal. A second 4-drop could get Luthor'd into play on turn 5 ... meaning it would be a turn 6 win at the earliest.
So, having a 4-drop Mad Hatter [dual with Arkham] and a 5-drop Knockout [dual with Villains United ... since she defected from VU to S6 when Cheshire went the other way ... it works to have her be literally Cheshire's replacement drop wise].
Having a 1, 2, 2 3's, 2 4's, 2 5's, 6, 7 would make it a solid 'team'.
Knockout would be a brickhouse, naturally, while Mad Hatter could maybe have an exaustion effect [ala Puppet Master or Glorious Godfrey] to tie into his mind control power, and it supports BOTH Arkham's exhaustion theme and the 'stay alive' theme of the Secret Six.

6 part series (and there are 4 4 part series (Ronan, Silver Surfer, Nova, Super Skrull) and the Prologue, dont think issue 3 of the main story has come out.

If it's only that far into it there's a good chance that some of it might be delayed because of the whole Civil-War-Art Marvel-Continuity-Pause ... thing.
it seems to be running on time, Issues 1 and 2 of the main "Title" were on time, but i dont know
My understanding was that issue 4 was ENORMOUSLY delayed because the artist wasn't up to speed, and because it's the title that a huge portion of the Marvel continuity is kind of revolving around at the moment, they delayed a whole bunch of comics.
i got issue 2 like 3 or 4 weeks ago, so if issue 3 isnt out yet, it is only starting to be late.
now there were a couple of Ultimate titles that were HORRORBLY late (pretty much all of the Ultimate Galactus stuff had delays, and Ultimate Secret (2nd in the trilogy) was cut to 4 issues, and Extintion was cut to 5 issues (both were suposed to be 6 issues)
but if the Annihilation stuff is running late, its only by a couple of weeks. and like i said, issue 3 is the next one due (or just came out) so unless who ever said that issue 4 was really late is a time traveller, you were missinformed.

Wait ... are we talking about the Civil War stuff or the Annihilation Stuff?
I meant I heard Civil War was behind, and that was causing delays in other stuff, not that Annihilation was behind ... that's what I was asking about.
