to me, 90% of the catchy deck names suck...corny at best. one i remember being particularly so was an oldie but a goodie; Kang in tha Hood...although the Chicken one and the Hardware one are up there too
Ugh, stop spreading stupid "Aussie" stereotypes. It's bad enough that most Americans think our country is called Aussie, is located in Europe and our primary source of communication is varying tones of the word "crikey," so please keep your stupid Footscray nicknames to yourself... mate!
Nothing stupid about it, mate. I may live in Canada nowadays, but I was born and raised Down Under, strewth! I'm proud of my home country, and I see no shame in our nicknaming conventions, fair dinkum!
Just because we have an unusual naming convention and amusing slang (seriously, the Canadian team coming to the Sydney Olympics with "Roots" on their uniforms? I wonder how many thought it was their mission statement... heh...) doesn't mean we're not educated and articulate.
And for the record, I'm a New South Welshman, so keep your Victorian insinuations to yourself! Go back to drinking VB and Southwark. Footscray? Pfft.
... though truth be told, I miss the old VB... Canadians try, and Lord knows they make a better go of it than the Seppo's, but the beer's still not up to snuff.
I built a JSA/JLA deck similar to good guys and, out of taste, decency and respect to my fellow man I didn't not call it 'good guys' or a 'good guys variant', I just called it Justice United, after the team up.
It is the bane of my existence. also both guns blazin' sucks. I still don't know what the deck is.....
I believe a deck should be named for the deck itself. back in origins I made a deck that was technicaly 'common enemy', but I preferred to call it 'custody battle' because it was themed on a child named valeria. I thought it sounded unique and cool. I try to come up with new and innovative ways to name my deck. so far my favorite is newer school!
and, from what I've heard from people I've met who played the deck, it wasn't even that fun to see on your side of the table nevermind opposite you. Perhaps a better name would have been "that [expletive deleted] annoying F4 Equipment deck".
Hm...[expletive deleted]...not a bad name for a deck...now, how to say "[expletive deleted]" using cards...
Please! FFun was awesome, I remember back in the day (a wednesday) I first put dual atlantian tridents on spiderman. I became so hysterical I blacked out. (almost) only stopped playing beacuse ~I misplaced my rares...
I...don't get it. What was the "Chair deck" and what was the joke behind it?
If you don't know you're not important enough to.
PS. nice sig! [/sarcasm]
Idiocy would be the worst I imagine.
I imagine that the Australians and New Zealanders are entitled to making as many bad deck names as they want provided they keep churning out great decks which they are great at doing.
Does anyone else think that Japanese forums probably don't have such topics as "Worst deck names ever" whilst they're actually talking about tech and being better than almost everyone else at Magic?
