well, then why would he ask for all the cards to the puzzle? thus disclosing a large chunk of his plan? unless it was a diversion..... clever Flashback......
All valid points and questions, and in repsonse, I'll say this:
I ain't saying anything!
Think what you will, but until th eenvelopes are oened, everyone's gonna be in the dark.
Also, this was brought up to me today, about the timing of this puzzle. If I am mailing out cards to people across North America, as well as one contestant in the UK, it's obvious that people in my own povince will get the cards frist, then the people in Canada, then the US people, and last, but not least, the lone Brit involved. This is all due to how long it takes for mail to ship to different areas.
What I have decided to do is to stipulate a "Christmas Present Policy" on the envelopes. Don't worry, that doesn't mean you have to wait until Christmas to start the riddle, it means that, like most Christmas gifts that arrive before Christmas, they are marked "Do Not Open Until December 25th".
Following this plan, I will mail out the envelopes either Monday/Tueday morning, and will ask that EVERYONE involved with the contest abide by the rule that NO ONE OPEN THE MARKED ENVELOPE UNTIL NOVEMBER 30th. This should give most people enough time to get their envelopes in the mail, and if you recieve them before the 30th, it will just drive you up the wall with anticipation.
Due to the exact nautre of this puzzle, I WILL KNOW IF YOU OPEN THEM EARLY. Doing so will be violating one of the rules of the contest, and you'll be disqualified.
I will contact each registrant on Monday/Tueday to confirm tha ttheir envelope has been sent out, and to remind them NOT to open the envelope until Novermebr 30th, Noon, PST.
