A 6-drop plot twist, yes, but it fits in the Kree Press mechanic SOO well, and who can sneeze at +5 ATK? Yeah, it's when a character is in combat with another of greater cost, but in a Kree Press deck, that's not really hard to accomplish.
Plus, it's kind of fun to spring on your opponent.
"Stunning Kona-Lor, Jim? Bud.. you need to learn to LIVE KREE... OR DIE!"
Corny yes, but awesome card and definitely my favorite!
dude four drop lex luthor from jla, sinister citidel, and straight to the grave. i cant pick just one over the other because they all brought me to me first money finish. Its like a cycle you see; sinister citidel cant be used without luthor, luthor cant come into play without straight to the grave, and without straight to the grave beside it in the resources row citidel doesnt look half as cool.
Because I love Ra's as a supervillain. I hate characters like Superman because he's basically an otherworldly omnipotent being that decided to make Earth his little sandbox. Okay, I might be a little exaggerating, but for the love of pete, he's invincible. What's fun about that?
Then, there are characters like Batman who are super just by shear determination and intellect. He's one of the only people that can beat Superman because of how resourceful he is. And then there's Ra's Al Ghul who is basically Batman if Batman wanted to be a villain. With every comic episode, those 2 characters prove that normal people can be greater than super-heroes.
And from a game-play standpoint, I love the fact that so many people used to think that Ra's Al Ghul as weak...BUT he's only one of the best (if not the best) 8-drops in the game.
One of my favorite Vs System stories comes from a game where I had a really slow start. I didn't hit a character until Turn 5. But then, with the help of Bane, Ra's, Lady Shiva, and 2 Towers of Babel, I managed to extend the game to turn 8. And as I left turn 7, all of my characters were stunned. I choose to recover Ra's 6, so that when I play Ra's 8, there will be no way he can attack me (knowing full well that he wasn't playing any drops higher than 7). And so the game ended as Ra's Al Ghul, by himself, took on 8 of the X-Men's finest. I win.
Cool story Clarkdd! I dig on fun wins like that too...
I'm also really surprised that no one has mentioned UNUS yet!
I'm sure he's coming soon... he's sharing a cab with Dr. Tzin-Tzin.
clarkdd: Ra's is the bane of multi-player at my house. My girl loves her Dr. Light/SinSyn deck which ALWAYS wins on turn 9. Can you stare down 4x Dr. Light, 4x Venom, 4x Shimmer, etc. with a smile? Ra's can!
