....While they can support a monthly comic book, their license shouldnt be supporting a VS set.
Hmmm...can't intertest be a two way street?
Specifically, can't the VS sets be used to foster interest in lesser known comic mythos as well as benefit from the prominence of the better known elements?
Sure, they won't be as popular, but I don't see that a reason never to do it. More a reason not to do it too frequently....

The designed a set that was HORRIBLE and the put one awesome card in it to justify it.
They made Mobilize, then they started working on making the set as BAD as possible.
The thing is there is decent stuff in the set people just overlook it because its not generic. I'm willing to bet the next card to receive errata or banning comes from Legions. We may just have to wait till golden age comes back around.

Also ... there has to be a reason for Marvel and DC to allow their liscences to be used.
Vs. wants to sell things on the back of the most popular characters. At the same time though, DC and Marvel can take advantage of feature obscure characters like the Squadron, the X-Statix, etc ...
I'm a DC fans. I've picked up Squadron Supreme and X-Statix as a DIRECT result of this game. Now, is that a big deal? Perhaps not ... but it's something the game offers.
i loved LOSH. mebbe its because i like enjoyable, theme based decks over spirit crushing decks that dominate the meta. and jut for the record, a doom deck lost to my Legion/Titans deck. Sensor FTW!

Yes, it most certainly can. I agree with Walter that I have picked up a few trade paperbacks as a direct result of their appearance in VS. However, the lesser known teams should not be the highlight of the set like Legionaries was. IMO, making Legionaries the highlight team of a set is as silly as making a set based around Squadron Supreme or X-Statix. They are fine complementary teams, but arent good sales points.
For some reason this always happen to me. Ill post something and make a mistake. Then Everyone that plays VS and some people who dont start to attack me. Sorry about the mistake, it was a mistake. But i do think it is a bit odd that 3 sets come out reight after each other kinda fast but WF is coming out sometime in June i think. Thats what someone said in the thread. that is like 3-4 months from now.
Yeah LoSH does suck. The only think i found good was maybe a team up of Future Foes and something else. And a Legion Rush deck.
And HoG kinda is bad since they banned some much out of it. If Frankie was still around for Modern age then it might be a little bit better for HoG decks.
If the set had been named Teen Titans, it probably would have drawn a bigger crowd wouldn’t it?
Thank you Setzer Kail
My final words on The Legion of super Heroes…
The Legion of Super Heroes, are NOT Checkmate, the X-Statix, New Mutants, Generation X, the Wild Pack, The Secret Six, or the Infinity Watch. They have a comic book history, and legacy (as convoluted as it may be) that is far greater than those I named. In fact their continuity was strong from 1958 to 1994. The Legion has every right to star in a set.
I think the designers of this set chose the perfect story arc to unite all these teams as well. They could have even thrown in some stuff from Titans/Legion of Super-Heroes: Universe Ablaze (Now that was pretty bad). It just wasn't your thing, that's fine, but you're basically bashing this team in and out of the context of Vs. in a very matter of fact manner. Did Squadron Supreme or X-Statix have about 45+ straight years of stories printed? No, but the Legion has. For the heck of it I’ll mention, once again, that they also have the TV show, with a second season on the way.

Well said.
And speaking as someone who got into the game because it's the best trading card game and NOT because it was comic book based, I like seeing these lesser known teams. If the game were all X-Men/Doom/Superman/League, it wouldn't be nearly as interesting.

Even if your initial dates were a little off, you brought up a good point. It was only 2 months + 1 week between DLS and MTU. That's really short. It's really a pinch on the pocketbook too to start buying for a new set so quickly.
At 4 sets per year now (880 cards) + starter/essential collection = almost 1,000 new cards per year! I don't think the meta really gets to fully experiment with all the possiblities/combinations before a new set pushes everything along.
I've long felt 3 sets per year would be more ideal, though I could just imagine the sky is falling threads.

I guess it's understandable if you were there for the LSH during it's prime. I just don't think that as a license it's anywhere near the Spider-Friends, X-Men, Gotham Knights etc who have all headlined previous sets.
you kinda have to have 4. Since you need 4 new set for every modern age. Dont want to repeat a set.
Like if WF came out after pc indy. IC would be in Modern age.
