9 People up here in Vancouver. I was thinking about running my JLA curve (which is essentially a Good Guys variant) with some tech in it at another City Champs that is being run at another store. (Couldn't play at this one 'cause i was the TO)
WOW I am amazed at a lot of the low turnouts Somersworth NH had 24 people and no quickfate. A lot of diferant decks..... but we did have a lil other incentive to play.....
15 team is a divinity lock control deck using lots on early ko and divinty to lock mid. Also it finishes evil star and The pirate. You use haywire for the ko to divinity.
We had the Columbus CC, but it wasn't registered in time, so now what happens?
in other news, top 4 were 1) Moloids, 2) Morlocks (me!!!), 3) Squad+Fate artifacts and 4) X-Mental
9 players total. One running Avengers reservists, and I think the rest were running new stuff (because I didn't know the cards and I haven't bought much MTU or DLS)
The Columbus decks, IIRC, were:
1) Moloids/Doomed Earth
2) Fate Squad
3) Morlocks
4) X-Mental
5) Defenders w/Sensational Spider-Man
6) Moon Knight
7) Kree/Darkseid (me!)
8) mono Defenders running tons of random stuff, along with Mobilize, Against All Odds, Big Leagues
9) Avengers Reservist
Oh, and for all those heading to Cincy, I am packing the hotness. The hotness for Hitler!
Kissimmee, FL CC over at Coliseum of Comics. 9 people showed up (basically just the regulars, would have been more if the Clermont guys had showed up *cough*puny_human where were you?!?*cough*).
1 Quickfate
1 Kree/VU
1 Skrull/Inhuman (me)
1 Avengers Reserve
1 AGL
1 Shadowpact
1 Heralds/VU
1 Future Foes Discard/Bully
1 X-Men/Brotherhood
Top 4 was Kree/VU vs Quickfate (winner Kree/VU) and Avengers vs Future Foes (winner Avengers). Kree/VU ended up finally winning in the end. I ended up going 2-2, with both my loses being because I missed my 3 drop (with no underdrop even, grr). Oh well, there's always next time!
James
Nice that this was announced somewhere. I called CoC on Friday (as well as the Clermont store) and was told that nothing was going on in the area. If your store would have gotten its act together, you would have had another 10+ players.
I hear that Vs became fun again. Might be a vicious rumour though :p
I'm getting all choked up with all of this 'fun' talk. Next thing you know, people will stop screaming "The Sky is falling . . . and it's all UDE's fault."
