I think printing EA's is a good idea, but thats only for the folks who already play...so how do you drive up the secondary market, and the comic nerd?

I've probably asked this same question several times and it degrades into "it's not broken... stop suggesting solutions".

Where is chdb to tell us that this is a bad idea to get new business... that "prize-inside" packs is only to retain customers?

I don't really care what UDE does... just as long as they start doing it. All this bad news (except the CC) has not done well for the reputation of VS and they need to start showing that they really mean it when they say that VS is their "evergreen" product.

I had a new player from the MTU Sneak show up at a store VS tourney soon after that but then hadn't seen him until 2 WoW events. I asked him if he was still playing VS and why he didn't show up at our CCs and he said he thought that UDE stopped supporting VS because there are no VS events listed on our PTO's website. Ouch.

This is a big problem for VS right now. Most of the tournaments were run by PTO's and not local shops. Now when people visit the PTO's sites they see nothing for VS and think the game is dead. Especially those people who don't have a local hobby shop. A majority of you local shops don't have web sites unless they sell cards online to.

So how is a player supposed to find a place to play? The hobby league locator only lists a few places and they have to actually run sanctioned events to get on there. Not to mention its broke half the time I try to use it.

Amazing 15 isn't cheap, but it doesn't have to be that.

The cheapest (for UDE) things I see are the original artwork that UDE is buying anyway for the cards.

Rare comics would just be a way to pull in Comic Shop Guy to buy some product so that the players get the spoils.

And WOW doesn't have more players than vs. Maybe in a few locations. But in most of those places, it's because the vs pro's were there thinking they were going to win cash. Without cash, vs will pass WOW quickly even in those areas. It's a much better game (in my opinion, so you don't have to flame me). Even most pros will tell you that you know who won by turn 3. Yes, I hear it has gotten better, but that's not what this thread is about.

It's about getting UDE to give me a life size Doom. That would make my kids behave. He could be standing with his arms crossed, and when they misbehave, I'll tell them, "Don't make me go get your real dad."

Interesting note: The artist gets the originals back after the company makes the printing plates. Many artists have personal websites to sell them after. That has been the tradition in the industry.

Hoodies and jerseys would be real cheap and very cool.

If you dont like my attitude dont post very easy. I have my opinions as do you. VS had 70 per 10k maybe in the last year but not at the begining. WOW is a good game but the main emphasis of its sales were completely based on online prizes the online players could achieve. Like me, hate me I could really care less.

I personally would personally like just about anything for the points, as i wont be using them for anything else and have alot of time to type codes in.

Tops Choices would be:
EAs/Foils
More Packs (Go figure)
Tins and Sleeves
Some Special cards you can only get through point redemption, like a Really good Superman that you can only get by turning in like 1-2 boxes worth of codes, Kinda Like a SuperRare but you wouldnt have to pull it. But not Just an alternate art, a totally difference card.

I know everything, if you disagree you know nothing) that may not be your opinion...but sometimes you come off like that...enjoy

I love the idea of EA's or other things made available by points...as a player that rocks....sure it makes those with money the haves and those without the have nots...but essentially everyone "can" get these things....think about the stores that sell singles on ebay? They open tons of boxes.....boom they sell the points...or they buy the item and put it for sale...score one for that side of VS....

I think giveaways are a great idea...I just dont know how to draw the comic guy like WoW does the computer nerd as its not the same...making a cool ingame thing doesnt cost them much....

UDE is having problems with shipping? Surely you jest! We here in the Philippines have had no such problems, getting our HOG product as early as a week after the DLS sneak peek! True, PCQ prizes have yet to materialize and MTU is nowhere in sight, but I'm sure that they'll come out in due time. Just give it two months or so.
