Really hurts AGL and Vomit. And many other weenie decks. No Chomin or Longshot. That kills 2 of my favorite decks. LoL. ...well almost kills anyway. Just a pain in the ### every time.
1) Reign of Terror. Turn 3 = Bad. Turn 4 off initiative against 4-drop Doom is much, much worse
2) Puppet Master. Add in Rogue and Mimic for a nice game of Solitaire. Next time that happens, I'm puling out my PDA and playing Bejeweled. Wake me when it's my turn.
3) Frankie Raye (with Phantom Stranger) Thank goodness this retardedness was banned. Bejeweled wasn't enough for this madness, especially when Dr. Light was still in the same format. More like, 'Smash Head With Hammer'
Ahmed Samsarra: the most irritating card in a while. When a card is soo powerful that you either play it or plan to play against it, there is a problem.
Any card named Quicksilver: I hate the character and hate his powerful effects. I lost a game against brother hood once where my spider-friends/x-men deck was running against a brotherhood deck. Turn 7, i have a full field thanks to recovery effects. My onnonent has only his 7 maggie, his 6 sabertooth and his 5 drop quicksilver and only has 2 cards or so left in hand. I exhast my 1 and 2 to fastball special his magneto, and use spiderman to exhaust sabertooth. I then team attack Silver with the following: Spiderman 7 drop, Cyclops 5 drop, Gambit 4 drop Wolverine 3 drop and maybe Rogue 6 drop. My opponent proceeds to flip 4 genoshas one at a time and draws 16 cards, he powers up quicksilver, as i knew he would, but flips a lost city as expected, and then uses 2 avalons and powers up out of the stun, stuns my spiderman, then proceeds to attack my 1 and ready then my 2, and powers up some more for the win. I hate Quicksilver.
Silver Surfer: Once again, I hate the Surfer a lot, as a character mostly, though I do like the new 6 drop card. But surfer 8 drop is just plain too much for me to deal with especially in a stall deck, where yyou just can't stop it. Really really cruddy.
Fate Artifacts: When you release 3 cards that result in other cards getting banned, and the very rules of the game change to accomodate the cards, there is a problem in my eyes. I like the idea, but they too were in too many decks for a while, and I wish they didn't exist.
I hope the marriaged Quicksilver will never get banned. Because he is not broken. You can stop him. What made him nearly broken are the Fate Artifacts. If any card needs to be banned right now I would say the Artifacts and Ahmed. He is way to good and creates a lot of new strong decktypes. Last character that was able to do this was errated and banned. Good old Dr. Light.
Roy Harper <> Arsenal... man I hate this guy. Direct stuns all the way up your opponents curve? So WHAT it costs a resource... and you can then press him. He is insane. And with all the new cards that benefit you for not having a lot of resources, it gets even worse.
Someone will break him again... and like always, the card that needs to be banned or changed to once a turn will not be, while good usable cards like Overload and ARB will go down in flames.
I also hate Ahmed, but not nearly as much. His inherent limitation is what keeps him from truly gaining my ire. The fact that EVERYONE runs him is actually a boon to me... since I have a clean target to aim for that they have to expend extra cards and effort to protect him, or they outright lose the game.
Third would be Enemy of my Enemy. I want to see the game become more team focused, and Mobilize is great for that. I want more cards that punish you for being off team like Betrayal. EomE fuels this scattered "prime character" type build that ... while fine in and of itself... doesn't have enough counters in place to make the playing field level when you face one.
I want a new uncommon version of Betrayal... maybe.....
Uncertain Loyalties
Cost 3 Plot Twist
Play this card only during the build phase, and only if all characters you control share at least one team affiliation.
Each player stuns a character they control. If any player controls only charactwers that share a single team affiliation, they exhaust a character instead of stunning one.
Boliver Trask - second you see this guy, you know what's up
Quicksilver, Inhuman by Marriage - Stood between me and winning PC Sydney
Every card Jason Hager's got in his hands when I'm sitting across the table from him - They're all much better than mine, even if I've got a card-for-card mirror.
