The reason people play Jank is because it's fun, not because it'll win.
If you are angry because people are playing better than you/play better decks than you, then don't play jank.
You can't have your cake and eat it too.
One of my friends loves to play jank, and of course he wants to win, but he also knows that there is a good chance he won't. That's how to play jank.
Yes, there are tough decks out there, than unless played by an equally good deck/player you will always lose. You can't come into a metagame filled with quickfate and expect your Crime Lords deck to win.
Tournaments are competitive by nature. Some can be more laid back (Suck as sneak peaks, HL, etc), but most are playing for the prizes available and the rating points. If you want to have fun playing weird decks, then do it. If you want to win, you play the best deck you can, and no one should be at fault for wanting to win. But you can't always have it both ways.
Quit or don't, doesn't matter to me. But If you are a casual player, don't play in tournaments. If you do, you are entering a competitive enviorment, no matter what. You bring your A-Game, and if don't want to do that, then don't expect to win or do well either.
Are you ill or something like that? Chill out. You would kill what you love? Whatīs wrong with you today?
I'm Pi$$ed off at People telling me to chill out. I'm getting mad because the DECK is not what I'm upset about but every one keeps bringing it up. I'm Mad because UDE needs to Liston to its Players. I'm mad because Everything I'm saying is true and every one is upset about it. I'm just speaking the truth. Everyone else needs to open there eyes and start seeing what I'm saying .
We as a community need to do are part to help the game grow. Thats all I've been saying if we can't . It was deminstrated that we can't because people need to bring there most broken decks and yes people are right if you have a broken deck you should play it. Not at a HL tho thats my opinion and I know my opinion is disregarded as trash but I don't care it's what i think.
because it was broken and for the past year and a half I've built a player base of 8-10 people But they don't want to come if someone is bringing something retardedly Broken. OK Thats why I didn't play it.
benni if you are just playing a hl it should just be for fun, for anything bigger the hl is fine to run a broken deck, but in HL no broken decks should be allowed, since it makes it not fun anymore.

I see your point BUT: who decides which deck is broken and which is not? So the winning deck is allways broken then?
no you should at least stick it out for this year i love this game and just because its haveing a bad year because upperdeck was so stupid and made PC syndys pay out so much when the heart of the game is in the USA but if by next year i cant go to at least one elite series tornment ill most likely get out of this game i mean i work at time of the hobby league and now the tormnent are like 3 month apart this really need to change
I'll offer some thoughts really quick, as I head out the door to our hobby league.
I detest playing against ridiculously broken combos and the like that prevent a player from actually playing the game. Detest. So you know what I do?
I put in hours of countless testing to force out a deck that decimates a broken deck in a truly humiliating way. GK destroyed common enemy. Tossing out demon on turn 8 and preventing any of Common Enemies tricks like Surfer was classic gold!
You have the skill as a player to take those games to heart and then construct something that just makes it painful for someone playing one of those decks to do so again. Sure, you might lose some more games to other decks, but the personal satisfaction of destroying a garbage cheating deck and then only losing to skilled players playing something respectable is worth a lot.
Maybe the player playing the combo stuff will get tired of losing to your 'broken deck' and learn to play something else.
I hope you make the right decision. Which is to continue to play the game, but only in ways that bring you joy. You can do no good by playing if you aren't having fun, too.
I found it refreshing to squash people for netdecking Common Enemy for so long. It was almost a no brainer for me.
It will be the same for people playing underworld nonsense coming up as well.
Seiously it's a horrible idea for you to quit. Alex was just being dumb and he wasn't thinking. He now also agrees that bringing the deck wasn't the best idea. You can't let one person ruin the game for you. I'll try an make sure he doesn't do it again. Also about it being a third job, the Mass area is slowly gaining more players, soon we will have enough that people will see everyone playing and want to join. As for some of the people who aren't taking this seriously and/ or are angry with you, they don't fully understand the situation surrounding the events. DO NOT QUIT!!!
Thanks man I just want people to understand that Broken DECK in a casual environment is WRONG period. No if or but's about it. I want people to understand the Decks not the Problem It's the environment that it was played in. I could have givin everyone the same deck as lasky. That would have been fun. Everyone might as well rolled dice to see who gets the high roll and they win. Tournament would have been done in like 1 hour.
It was demonstrated that we can't because people need to bring there most broken decks and yes people are right if you have a broken deck you should play it. Not at a HL tho thats my opinion and I know my opinion is disregarded as trash but I don't care it's what i think.
Being a "Johnny come lately" as I didn't see the original thread(s) about this but from the other threads started about today's transpirings I was under the impression this was a Random Punks event that was the root of the frustration?
Presuming the deck was played at a Random Punks tournament I completely understand how you feel that the nature of random punks was to be a casual and fun format being rareless and the marquee event that is tied to a hobby league. I understand the sentiment but with two EA mobilizes on the line this is the kind of tournament people are going to bring their A-game to. Although it is tied to the hobby league Random Punks was not neccesarily a casual players format in any form, many people of all skill levels were chomping at the bit for those two cards.
As for the continued hobby league references, are players in your area actually playing broken decks week in and week out at the hobby league or was random punks the only occurence of the problem? If it happens weekly someone should definitely be given a talking to regarding their choice of deck but if you're going to talk to one person you probably need to talk to everyone, most people should be reasonable as the hobby league prizes aren't all that special and losing once in a while shouldn't truly be a problem (they might be for some this is just my opinion).
