From the quote at the bottom of today's Hulk themed preview, makes me think AOA is an essentials collection or starter set.

But Apocalypse would be tomorrow's preview, and he said Friday would be a different one, methinks it is Giant Sized!

Well, everyone is kinda busy talkin the new frame, so here's what we get from the Brotherhood article:

*Magneto and Juggernaut are the Legendaries.

*Juggernaut has 3 versions: Champion of Cyttorak, Walking Disaster, and Weapon of Mass Destruction. The last one will be previewed next Tuesday.

*Juggie-centered cards: Unstoppable and A Human Juggernaut. Will be previewed next week on fan sites.

*Havok, Dark Beast, Random, Aurora, Fatale, X-Man, and Nocturne all possibly in the set.

*TNB and Big Brotherhood archetypes will still be used

*Magneto still has stun and anti-recovery themes

*Iron Extraction will be previewed next week. It is a Magneto PT.

*Magneto also has his own Betrayal - Betrayal Most Foul

*A new character card is Magneto-themed, and "It’s a card for the comic fan in all of us. A card that pits the Master of Magnetism vs. the Search and Destroyers. Guess who wins? "

I could see a Essentials collection with X-men and Horsemen of Apoc...

As much as I love X-Men that might be too much. X-Men in this set and then an X-Men Essential Collection. Lets try something new.

The “Champion of Cyttorak” version is the smallest of the bunch, with an effect reminiscent of the original 7-drop. This is the base Juggernaut, and probably my favorite when it comes to thematic interpretation (which will be obvious when the set is released). This version also hints at the identity of the brand new “sixth team."


With statements like this I so wanted to find some strange story Where Juggs was a horsemen and we would get a horsemen team. But it does make me feel like it will be Excalibur.

I guess a strech would be the Shi'ar, With two storylines with them in it. Rise and Fall of the Shi'ar empire. Also in New Xmen Cassandra taking the prof over and going into space and trying to destroy the Shi'ar.

I think the 6th team will be Excalibur since we will get a Nocturne in this set.

We are getting her as a brotherhood character. She could be DA. Do we we really need two Nocturn cards? BUt then we are getting Blink and Morph so they could do Exiles. There was a Jugges that was an Exile, also Wolverine.

Exiles makes a lot of sense. My money is on them.

Exiles or Excalibur, what I really want from the X-Men team is Quentin Quire and the Stepford Cuckoos. Everything else to do with the X is background noise to me right now - (unless the EXTREMELY unlike event occurs that I get an X-Factor Investigations mini-team, in which case my care will go to them, too)
