Just for clarification's sake, is Erick suggesting that there is an Essential Collction in the works? Or are we just joking and speculating. Nothing gets me more excited than Essential collections because they are affordable to me, unlike actual sets! For this reason I need to be set straight!

If we are just speculating, I hope the EC is from the new Buffy the Vampire Slayer comics. They are selling out everywhere and the art is pretty cool. BTVS's universe is a lot like BPRD's, so I can totally see this one being a real possibility. Plus it could mean more plot twists with the version magic to accomodate Willow. I get myself excited just thinking about the curve.

I totally agree. I would not be dissapointed if they just made these instead of full-fledged sets. It would allow you to just grab your favorite teams i.e. Green Lanterns Vs. Sinestro Corps Essential Collection. As is, Marvel Universe will cost me a fortune with so many rares in it. I'll still buy it of course, but I'm definately a fan of Essentials!

In addition to DC Universe, could we have a Giant-Sized DC set too?

I've been asking for these for two and a half years. When one thinks of how well it worked for MTG & Yugioh, it's kind of boggling why it never happened for VS.

Did UDE ever buy out Topps? If so I could see a Heroes EC since Topps had the license to print Heroes trading cards, and the Heroes online GNs have been released in actual paper form. Now that's somthing I would buy.

Oh, man, that would be completely awesome. Seasons 3-6 of Buffy were completely awesome, plus the comics sell better than Star Wars, Heroes, and 98% of the actual Marvel and DC books.
