I have yet another question. Can cards like Tabitha Smith, Zomg! and Scarecrow, Fearmonger remove shift counters or will they receive an errata? Their abilities state nothing about the character having to be in play. I guess it might be obvious for some of you and I guess they can't but I would like an answer to this.
Since there is an arrow in the cost, it is a payment power, which means that Unfair Advantage could allow you to pay for a Shift counter. Things that give you resource points to use only for the use of payment powers (MoE stuff mostly) will allow you to pay for Shift counters.
EDIT: While not in play, they are not characters, and therefore, they cannot have counters removed from them then with Scarecrow or Tabitha.

**Technical answer**
Cards that are not in play are referred to "[card type] cards" and so are only affected by cards that refer to them specifically. So cards that are shifted are technically "character cards" and not "characters" and thus are not affected by powers that affect "characters". So, Scarecrow and Tabitha Smith do not affect shifted characters.
Each of the three powers of shift are payment powers (since they will have an arrow in their power), and so things (such as Unfair Advantage) that create resource points for payment powers WILL work on Shifted characters.

Thanks and happy previews,
TBS
TBS,
I know it's off topic and I'm not expecting to get a response...just curious if there will be any non-preview related announcements anytime soon? (or even just upcoming in general)

Anyways, back to shift!
There are no planned non-Marvel Evolution announcements until after the release of Marvel Evolution.
2. My golden age Absorbing Man, Titania, and Eric Josten from the Moe gang told me to tell you thank you. Ultron<> ultimate evil just starting laughing insanely - what's that about?
3. T-Bolts like Speed Demon, Joystick and Beetle from the Mun set keep coming to mind when I think of what characters I can use to buffer until turn 4
This is very much like Suspend in Magic, and it might even be done in a way that makes it fit in to VS very well.
I love the slight Resource Acceleration feel to it, even though Resource Acceleration is a little bit broken as a concept in VS.
Omnipotence has no effect on a Shifted card, though, does it? Since the shifted card isn't actually in play...? Does that part matter to Shifted cards?
Yeah, that was my first thought last Wednesday. "oooh, suspend!" I can't believe people aren't more excited about this, especially seeing Blink-3. And, yes, I think Omnipotence stops you from using Shift. :( Silly "cards with that name" wording.

If I gain resource points from a Master of Evil say that can only be used for payment powers, they will be available to pay for Shift?
I've been so excited about this prospect right here. I assumed it worked, thanks for asking and getting confirmation from TBS. I never thought to email him myself after he sent the preview filled email. lol
Seriously, I think Shift makes Energize far less exciting by comparison. Energize is still awesome and all, but Shift is where it's at. I can't wait to talk about all the ideas I've had so far. Sadly a lot will have to wait until AFTER my preview though. Hehe.
