(100 Points)I Can Not Let My Comrades Down: When Colossus is healed using the X-Men team ability, he modifies his attack +1 until the end of the turn, and if the result was a 1-4: after resolutions, heal Colossus an additional click.
Fastball Special: Super Strength. POWER: Pick up an adjacent friendly character as if it were a standard heavy object, then make a RANGE object action (treating the character as a heavy object for damage). After resolutions, deal the thrown character 1 damage and place it adjacent to the target.
I'M HERE (CHARGE)
FLESH AND BLOOD (EARTHBOUND/NEUTRALIZED)
LIFT 75 TONS (SUPER STRENGTH)
ORGANIC METAL (INVINCIBLE)
BULLETS CAN'T HARM ME (TOUGHNESS)
FLESH MADE STEEL (INVULNERABILITY)
There's our favorite Russian roadblock and bravo on the choice of sculpt. I can't believe with all the Colossus figures we've had over the years we've never gotten this costume.
Fastball Special, did I say roadblock? I misspoke I meant Russian artillery!
Petey is going to be chucking teammates hither and yon all over the map. He's going in the box with "Tiny-sized friendly Archery Hawkeye" as a great unconventional character mover.
Did you consider giving him a click of Regeneration on his Earthbound/Neutralized click? I don't know if its still the case but reverting back to human used to heal the big Russian and coupled with his 100 point trait it would give him some serious stamina.

i like this take on piotr. he's coming out of the box rockin' my favorite costume for him (love that captainmarvelesque vest, very dapper, and the suns-out-guns-out approach works for pete). the minute i saw that last click with only ebn i knew it was gonna be some xmen ta shenanigans
i really like the inverted bell curve approach to his defense. a top click of topshelf resistance, followed by a bold emphasis on toughness instead coupled with a stat spike), then when the chips are down (and so are his defense values) the switch over to invuln has got an indomitable feel to it, complementing his defense symbol. especially with it vanishing to the naked slot at the end. there's an unorthodox but very piotr feel to this flow
oh, there's an SP? that's just cherries on top. simple and elegant approach to the fastball special, and 1 that inherently favors wolverine's (likely) toughness (and at least healing). makes the open-endedness even better when the right option is the best option
the is a great way to capture mr rasputin's character simply and elegantly. he won't waste his friend's sacrifice, he'll make the absolute most of it because they depend on him and that's the kinda guy he is. best russian superhero of all time. there. i said it

that smooths out the ride tremendously.
it'll especially polish the human form, letting the double sidestep bump her up more, and there's more restraint on the bear since the overlaping use of sidestep will only allow 2 uses at most thanks to the owl's cheat

I thought I'd been a while since we had a cannonball special colossus, so I thought I'd correct that. Besides, I just did a couple of colossus dials, so I needed something different to focus on.
I originally had regen on the naked click, but thought it was redundant with the trait, but it might not be a bad idea to add a special little something there.
This is definitely my favorite of his outfits.

I agree, best Russian super hero, hands down.
I will admit, the x-men ta trait was inspired by your OblivAeon set, though which dial I don't remember now. I just remember liking a bonus effect triggering off the teammate taking damage from its use. It seemed appropriate for him to get something extra out of his friend's sacrifice.
I am happy with the fastball special. My concern was maybe it should be light object damage, but 3 clicks to the opponent and one to your friend seemed more likely to get used if it was 3 to 1.
And your exactly right, I wanted to leave it open, but also limit it to the right characters (wolvie or Rogue in this case). By giving some straight damage to the thrown character is a gentle nudge player to use characters that have reducers (or regen even).
Thanks for the feedback guys. It is always appreciated.
great art. very dynamic. and oldschool elf ears *laughsinloki*
i am very much in favor of the hss/cce pairing. the dissonance is the right kind of off-key. you can stick&move or you can lambast someone fierce, but you have to chose and you have to play smart to set things up instead of easy mode. used to be that hss with a printed 2 was expected -- and warmly embraced. but these days ramping up the 3s and higher takes away the refinement of the archetype in favor of abusable cheese. i am very happy to see your dairy-free dial design
up top toughness is a delightful reminder of speedster durability and the backend ss makes for a crisp conclusion. appreciate that the cce does not overlap with ps. again, more decisions involved here instead of point&click. and the lack of overt synergy with aurora is a refreshing change

Or you can just be tossed by Colossus and deliver those rapid-fire punches!
I actually feel kinda sorry Jean-Paul, he's got that Quicksilver jerk-ness turned up to 11 and at least in his case he's got good reason to worry about his sister ( Although getting her away from those #%@& psycho nuns a little sooner might have been a good idea ).
I mean okay he was a "Free Quebec" separatist and became the repository for the entire teams quotient of anti-French sentiment ( I'm surprised he didn't walk around in a stripy shirt smoking clove cigarettes and hitting people with a baguette ).
And while his whole outing wasn't much of a surprise to anyone who COMPULSIVELY collected everything Alpha Flight ( I needed heroes who apologized as much in a day as I do *), it did rather feel like Marvel was throwing him under the bus. "Eh, he's expendable if this goes sideways".
So yes a giant pointy-eared jerk......but at least he isn't Prof-X ( Oh shots fired, take that you creepy old perv ).
All that being said, I like both of his starting lines. Flight and Hypersonic is always a winning combination and I love that you worked in his jack-hammering fists. Jean-Paul always struck me as insanely aggressive, he's got anger issues and he wants to share!
His 50 point dial reflects this to a tee, yes he could zip in and land a few blows and zip out, but he's more likely to charge in and just hammer his opponent until he's pulled off.
I gotta say this is what I want in a Northstar, direct and aggressive and if you point out that your opponent doesn't think that skiing is a "Real" sport he'll have Battle Fury too.
*I kid you not I've actually been asked across a gaming table "Are you Canadian?" because of the degree of my solicitude.

I really like the damage scale of: 0-1 normal human; 2- upper limits human; 3 and up - super humanly strong. I think you can get away with 2 damage as an offensive piece, as long as you have options. Hopefully I've provided enough options for this piece to be reasonable effective for its cost.
I was just set on the HSS/CCE. To keep his cost down, I just couldn't work in any sort of free move to set up that CCE. You have to commit if you're going to use it. I do regret not being able to justify Willpower at the cost.

Good to see you Tidge. He would be a perfect candidate for some pseudo-TK, cannonball special. Now you have me wondering if he was actually ever used for one in the comics?
Thanks for dropping in. Always love your feedback.

I am very much a fan of John Byrne's work during during his time at alpha flight. His run on FF and Hulk were some of the best of those series. Alpha Flight hung in there for a while after Byrne left, but they lost me around issue 50 when puck and the twins left the team.
I have played the IIM figures so many times. One thing that always angered is just how hard it is to build a descent 300 or 400 pts team with them, that is accurate to any incarnation they had in the first run. It was always like 416 points. I want to correct this.
I appreciate your take on Northstar as a character. I liked that everyone thought he was a jerk, but he seemed sympathetic enough to me. To me its what made AF one of my favorite reads. There was so much drama going on all the time. It seemed like someone was joining or quitting the team every month. And the in-fighting.
I read somewhere that John Byrne didn't want to do Alpha Flight, I wonder if that played into his take on NS.
I'm glad you like my take on his offense. He can do the hit and run, but that's not where he really wants to be. He wanted to get up on someone and lay a smack down...or thirty.

Reforming Alpha Flight: At the beginning of the game, choose a keyword. Friendly characters with the Alpha Flight keyword modify defense +1 when targeted by character with the chosen keyword.
I Will Be That Leader: Leadership, but she can remove tokens from characters within 6 squares. When Heather Hudson rolls for Leadership, increase the result by 1 for each friendly character named Wolverine or Puck and decrease the result by 1 for each friendly character named Guardian or Northstar.
STAY OUT OF THE WAY! (STEALTH)
I NEED TRAINING (SIDESTEP)
I DON'T NEED TO BE PROTECTED (MASTERMIND)
LET'S SUCK IT UP AND DO OUR JOBS (WILLPOWER)
KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE (PERPLEX)
It's great to see a pre-Vindicator Heather and the zero attack & damage just makes me smile. I don't think she ever used her sidearm to any effect the entire time she carried it.
Poor Heather, I sometimes think that Byrne had a bone to pick with her.
I Will Be That Leader, is great and the negative modifier for Northstar and Mac is pretty spot on. If I might make one suggestion?
Give Judd a positive modifier as well ( unless you've got something special planned for his unrequited love on Heather ).
Hehe and her prescription glasses/80's visor.
Reforming Alpha Flight, a nice play on the old Alpha Flight ATA, reflecting Heather's leadership over Mac's.

Tell Them I Used Black Magic: Opposing characters with a lower point value modify attack -2 when targeting Magik.
Stepping Disks: Phasing/Teleport. POWER: 6. Roll 2d6 and replace Magik's speed value with the sum of the roll plus her current speed value. Phasing/Teleport at no cost.
QUICK STEP (SUPER SENSES)
I ALSO TRAVEL THROUGH TIME (PROBABILITY CONTROL)
Haha, the very best of Illyana doing her "Magic School-bus" routine!
Stepping Disks has that "Where will we end up this time?" feel that Ilyana's powers had in the early days and I like it!
Tell Them I Used Black Magic, with a side-order of "Creepy magic girl" ( If Sadako from "The Ring" crawled out of Illyana's televison she'd be fighting to get back in! ).
"Oh no, you've messed with the wrong Russian sorceress Missy. Your getting a haircut and an attitude adjustment and not in that order!"
And because its Illyanna I feel the need to include this comic, if only I'd found it during the last set it would have been perfect!

I debated giving her an attack and some damage to represent the sidearm, but, like you, I don't remember her ever using it.
Good call on Puck. I may drop Box and add puck, just for brevity's sake.
I was going to just give her that old ATA, but I decided I wanted to play on the reformed aspect. I'm glad you picked up on that.

LOL That is good.
I needed another spot and I wanted to limit it to people in the comics, so since Illyanna made a cameo, she made the list. I wanted to keep her simple. In that regard, I just focus on her taxi ability. I threw in some PC just to give her some flavor. The 30 pts means she will fit nicely into the New Mutants set I did.
