I was wondering that myself, why would we want to rescue the Sith Lord? But I'm town and a Clone, so my character's loyalty would be to the Chancellor/Palpatine. I don't know if the show encompasses the time frame when the Republic becomes the Empire or not.
Explained this has been, but Palpatine a Sith lord is not. Detected that level of the Dark Side we would have.

So Clones and Jedi would be protective of him. Some google-fu indicates that the Separatist Droid Army would be opposed (Openly that is, as we well know the Supreme Chancellor was playing both sides).
Protect the Supreme Chancellor and the Republic we must. Dangerous is Dooku and the Separatist army.

Agreed.

That would throw off the mechanic that was added. So it either implies that the Supreme Chancellor is not actually a player, or that it was given to a player that is known to be chatty. It could also imply that Freddy is more mod-based (NPC) than player-based (PC). Granted, that's all speculative and maybe it doesn't matter and that mechanic won't be triggered.
I know I've had multiple mechanics not trigger in games I've modded.
Good points you have made. Perhaps trickery the mod is using. Post or post not, there is no Freddy...?

So I think hellsmurf is saying that if the chancellor is a player he might die and that might upset the game balance.
Game balance? Unfortunate modding? A Jedi craves not these things. How unbalanced the game without the chancellor would be, still to be seen it is.

Nor does anyone have the inclination that he and Sidious are the same (I know Vlad used a spoiler box but I think in a game with a theme using a twenty-one year old revelation we have to just trust people will accept that might get spoiled here).
My suspicion is the Trade Federation is the logical Mafia choice which would put Palpatine as maybe a Neutral or a Town Traitor (as he’s playing both sides against each other).
We’re also assuming Gira hasn’t thrown a twist and the Chancellor isn’t an electable position as it would still be at this point in the series.
Good points Rokk does have. Always in motion the galaxy is. Perhaps elected the chancellor is yet to be...
That reminds me, is anyone else unable to view embedded videos, or is it just me?
I just see a blank box, whether I'm on my phone or my laptop.
I can see the video without issue, which makes me curious.
Quebbster, when I try to post videos using the YouTube tag, it doesn't work. I thought it was deprecated some time ago. Did Typhon recently reinstate it? I'm surprised it's working here.
Tales there are of Darth Gooseius the Honk. Chaotic and wild that Sith lord was. Best forgotten those tales are.
Focus we must. A great disturbance in the Force I sense. Threats to the republic I can sense. Greater and darker than the droid army they are... Convene the Jedi Council must to prepare.
What about the syndicate as mafia? I'm thinking with the chancellor mechanic and how they were specifically against him and his plans I think that would make sense.
