Alright - lets offer 3 pieces of 8 for 10 days rations and see whats up.
The captain raises an eyebrow at your offer, turns and spits into the sand.
"Three? Three fo' ten days? I be chargin' more for my own shlt! In a general store a good ration is 0.5* and we be eatin' roast pig! Bah!"
On your peripherals, someone climbs to higher ground. You can see a glint of light from something silver in their hands.
The captain goes on, "Ya can have four rations, take it or leave it!" Then his gaze drifts away. "Or...We'll give ya all our rations for an hour with the redhead."
Not sure what the implications will be if we take up the other offer and 'sell' my character. Still not my first choice, but I guess it's only in the game, so if you guys think that could not harm our game/characters (and just some mental shame on my part :D), I would be okay if that gets the majority vote in our group.

For all intents and purposes, you are basically your character.
If it were me, I'd look at every situation as more like...what would you do?
____You decide that the situation has taken a downward turn, and you don't trust this captain or his crew. He's made too many aggressive remarks, and there's still someone hiding on that elevated terrain. You won't be ambushed today, it's time to take them down.
Captain Warlocker unsheathes his sword in a threatening manner, and immediately the rest of you prepare for a fight. The other captain didn't expect that, he backtracks and withdraws two small axes from his belt.
"Aye, sea dogs!" He shouts to his crew. "These scalliwags tryin' to take the bounty we stole! Kill 'em!"
Four others spring into action, picking up swords and weapons. You realize the one to the left to you, on the high terrain, was simply using a spyglass but upon the captain's orders he pulls out a mighty crossbow.
Despite their rough nature, these pirates are injured from their previous battle and shouldn't be too difficult to take down.
Here is the map that we will all be using.
I think you can see who is who. The enemies have coloured dots to make targeting more clear.
Characters are a bit bigger than the squares, so they count as being in whatever square most of their torso is in.
Same rule can be applied to terrain squares, if there is water on 60% of a square then it counts as water, etc.
All of you may take turns at the same time, as it will be too slow and boring to do one at a time.
In order to avoid posting at the same time as eachother, during this event you may edit your posts.
So I suggest you just write something quick such as, "I'm going to attack Pirate 6."
Then you can edit your post with the roll and action.
Other people will see your quick post and either wait until you're done to also attack 6 or if they're somewhere else they know they can just go on with their own turn as it won't affect the other person.
When you play, roll for yourself and just post the results. If the enemy has something allowing them to roll, like a dodge mechanic or something like that, roll for them too.
I will take a turn after everyone has taken a turn.
At this point I will also post the updated map. Due to the nature of these maps you can't really edit them yourselves, so just try to remember where people moved before I get a chance to update.
***
The dark orange parts on the map is the elevated terrain.
If you do not have any special abilities, then you can only reach it from T9.
The water, fire and tent are hindering terrain. The rest is normal.
The crossbowman is not yet on the edge so he can't be hit by range (yet).
Moon Rider
- Currently is on H7
- I will half movement to 5, and move to I12
- Using my Range of 3, with a +2 from the steel chain, I attack Bert, The Pirate Captain
- My atk is 9, and I roll is 9 (2D6), so I hit an 18. Bert's defense is 15, so this is a successful hit.
- I choose to use Get Over Here, and half my damage to 1. I move Bert to J8. This places him inbetween Blackfoot & Captain Warlocker
I'm thinking if we defeat the captain quickly maybe the rest will surrender.
Since I'm based by Bert, the Pirate Captain, I will use my knowldege of Muay Thai and Krav Maga to lay a beatdown. I am not going to move, I will make a close combat attack against Captain Bert.
I roll 2 fives, that easily hits for 2 damage. Is knockback a thing anymore? I don't know if he gets knocked back or not.
Come play in a mafia game! Hey! I'm talking to you, Scott Pilgrim!
