The homeless woman pulled a state of the art pistol from inside her overcoat. Leaning over to hide it from view, she surreptitiously targeted Storm, and fired. The shot was right on target, but by the time anyone looked down, the gun had disappeared and Mystique was once again just an unfortunate woman rummaging through the trash for bottles or cans to redeem for their deposit.

The X-Men didn't have long to look for Storm's attacker for they soon had a new threat to deal with. Sauron rose back to rooftop level and touched down menacingly among the women, brandishing his claws.

Psylocke vs. Sauron, BCF - 9 AV vs. 16 DV - rolls double 5s, With a roll of 4 for BCF. 3 clicks to Sauron, he moves back to L12.

Marrow rolls for Regen - a 4, healing 2 clicks.

Storm will target Magneto - 7 AV vs. 11 DV. A 3. Oh, well.

Reeling from Mystique's sneak attack, Storm's next bolt of lightning lands wide of it's mark. In the confusion, the winged pteradon named Sauron makes his move. Landing between Psylocke and Marrow, he hisses, and begins to size up his targets.

Seeing Sarah has clearly been too heavily taxed aiding her comrades, Betsy Braddock grimly faces the Savage Land mutant in front of her.

"OK, ugly - I've been waiting all day to do this..." Psylocke summons her psychic dagger, and moving with such speed that only her ninja training would allow, viciously slashed the chest of the creature. It squealed in pain, and flapped backwards off the roof.

Marrow looked over at Betsy, as her skin closed over the bones that constantly protruded. "Thank you," she grated.

Since knockback is supposed to be in a straight line, and Betsy's in H13, and Sauron was in H12, shouldn't Sauron get sent back to H8?

And Storm should show 2 damage in your summary at the end, si? Mystique did 2 damage to her last turn, and no one healed her with their TA during your turn.

Anyhoo, Magneto will try to hit Storm again. Mystique will Perplex up his AV, since that might actually make a difference this time, so it's AV6 against DV14 +2 ESD +1 hindering. Needs an 11. (Well it's better than a 12!) Gets a 6 and misses. No surprises there.

Everyone else will clear. Darn knockback.

Frustrated, Magneto shot blast after blast at Storm, but the wind rider swooped and dove and managed to avoid every one of them.

Sorry, got confused on the knockback - you're right. Sauron moved to H12, with Psylocke in H13. 3 clicks moves him back 3 spaces - H11, H10, to end in H9.

And yes, I forgot Storm's damage. Here are my amended positions, before my turn:

Psylocke watched in dismay as bones began to shred Marrow's skin anew. "Sarah, are you going to make it?" asked the British telepath, placing a steadying hand on her shoulder. Marrow nodded, but Psylocke was still unconinced.

Worried the winged mutant might swoop in again, Betsy pulled some shuriken from her belt, and hurled them at her foe. Several hit, causing further pain for the psychic flier.

Taxing her limits once again, Ororo's final blast of lightning exploded around Magneto, and caused Mystique to dive for cover behind the trash-cans in the alley. When the commotion subsided, the Master of Magnetism was unconscious on the street below.

"Let that teach you to wear a metal helmet in an electrical storm," muttered the X-Men team leader.

Sauron screeched in rage and pain, and flapped his way back to Psylocke. "You hurt me woman! I shall make you pay for that! I shall make you my slave! But first I shall hurt you back. Oh yes. That will be good."

Too busy boasting, the villain couldn't dodge in time to avoid the jagged dagger of pure psionic energy wielded by Betsy Braddock. Plunged into his chest, all his synapses firing, Sauron collapsed to the rooftop with a leathery flap.

"Sarah - I think we only have Mystique left, though I can't see her. Shall we?"

Marrow nodded, and wiped some blood away from her eye. "Just give me a moment, woman..."
