I think your right Rocket Ranger about the perplex thing. Beck is just like an illusionist so smoke cloud (puts up some false terrain or fire wall that would stop you for a second but could be shot through on a "I don't beleive it" type action) and perplex (more ilussions confusing his opponents). I don't really understand the poison at all. Did he ever use poison in the books?
The Morlock LE is the best mastermind fodder I've ever seen!!
Life goes on, long after the thrill of living is gone.
I love the generics, these are some of the best low point LE's to be made. It is the first time I find myself drawn to the generics more than the main guys and I am a BIG Wolverine fan.
BenG.
It has been decreed that Mysterio, Quentin Beck, hath come down from the heavens as the harbinger of the holy trinity.
It has been confusing that his arrival has been greeted with arguments for more Smoke Cloud, a reviled power that, while appropriate, is present on his last click, where it should be.
Thus, Mysterio walks the Earth as one of us, and his place in the trinity must be taken by another. And thus it has.
DEADPOOL, MODOK, MAESTRO.
Mysterio has shone upon us this day, and all is right.
He has a big fishbowl for a head. Yay!
It would have been cooler if Wolverine's LE was "Lucky Jim Howlett." But this'll do, pig. This'll do.
Ultimate Electro - so much less appealing, but I'm down with it.
Huzzah, and good morrow. Let the Beck be with you.
I have to say, I'm really impressed. I like the Jim Howlett, and Scourge is pretty cool. I'm surprised to see the Ultimates version of Electro, but I have to admit that his sculpt is pretty sweet. And since Cole is appearing as a Hellfire LE, does that mean that we won't see any Reavers in later sets?
Electro looks cool enough - and his stats are interesting. 8 range is solid.
The Morlock can be great Mastermind Fodder. A little Toughness - then some Regen. And at 30 points everyone can MM to him.
Mysterio is okay. Outwit is dandy (man Kraven is going to have a heck of a time getting some play) but Poison must be pretty expensive. Love the end click of Smoke Cloud and Stealth - Willpower would have been perfect then, too.
Hellfire Club Guard - cool. Can't wait to get a bunch of them. And can't wait to get more than just the Hellfire ladies!
Wolvie is interesting. I'm not totally stoked for some reason - but he's nifty.
Scourge - very interesting. Not a fan of the guy. He seemed a little lame and could have been replaced by the Punisher which would have been very interesting. How many times did he just pop in for a panel to fill some lame super-bad guy with his armor-piercing bullets? And not as dramatic as he should have been. Still the sculpt does look really cool. But do you put him in the good guy teams? Or the bad guys?
I really can't wait to see the REV versions of these guys...
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
The Morlock won't be good just for Mastermind. Imagine 5 of these guys encircled around the opposing clix of your choice like so:
# M M M=Morlock
# O M O=Opposing clix
# M M #=Empty square
The Morlock in the middle of the row to the far right would have a +4 to his attack. Even if damaged down to a 6 attack, he'd still have a 10. The remaining four Morlocks would each have a +2, which again would still make that 6 an 8 and not bad for any generic. Now, throw in CCE, toughness and regeneration, and the opposing clix in the middle is going to have problems not only taking out the Morlock but just surviving through a couple of rounds. Granted, Ell is the LE and probably has something the r/e/v doesn't like toughness, an extra click of life or CCE, but, if the r/e/v has CCE without toughness or toughness with only a 2 damage, these underground mutants are still going to be nasty in groups.
All I can say is: "BEWARE THE MORLOCK HORDES!"
(especially if they all have CCE and regeneration. )
Truth. Justice. Honor.
If we want them in our world we need to cultivate them in ourselves.

Sorry, only +3 because of tyhe new rule. Still, pretty dangerous, especially if you have the actions to set it up (Expect Callsito with leadership)
