This was the initial announcement:

Beginning June 4th, customers who purchase a DC HeroClix Hypertime Starter Set can send in their original receipt, UPC, shipping and handeling and a coupon from the WizKids website and will receive a Catwoman figure in the mail, while supplies last.

This does not specify when the starter had to be bought. Therefore when I went to a local shop and they had DC starters on sale with a label that said they were for the Catwoman mail-away. In light of previous errors Wizkids should have specifically stated when the starter needed to be bought.

It seems to me that Wizkids was counting on this happining to double sales on the starters by not being clear on the details.

Seems pretty clear to me (and it sounds like most other people).

& did anybody notice that they're using the Watchtower set from 'Birds of Prey' in the 'Catwoman' movie? Do you think there might be a conection? Not that it'll get me to watch the movie (or buy the piece), but....

I for one always thought Angela Bassett would have been a better Storm... Halle Berry is too diminitive(i. e. short) & not nearly as comanding a presence as Storm should be. I'll be glad that shes not in X3.

Yes my local shop did screw up and that is my real problem. My point is I wish Wizkids would have posted the question clarifying their wording in the initial announcement.

Of course the shop could have been trying to get rid of the starters as well. I think I'll just buy my next one from a differant shop.

Talk to the shop and let them now that when they ran the sale it was "misleading". Maybe they will allow you to "return" the product and then "buy" it again.

I just got back from my local shop where I picked up an HT starter for $15. Inside I found the "Kryptonite Gloves" Batman!

Woot!

For a total of $20, I get the HT Batman unique and the Catwoman mail-in LE. Not a bad deal at all.

I don't much like the sculpt . . . but I can put a HT Catwoman on the base!

They should make a Julie Newmar Catwoman and an Adam West Batman!

Don't mind halle barry, I don't think this movie is gonna be good because of how far off they are gonna be the real catwoman- She would have been fine if they did selina kyle....She was black in Batman Year One...Good read
