On our way home. Played at Heroes and Games next to the food court, big lantern scenario event was awesome. Everyone got a prize, which were A Booster, 2 white lanterns, WL Sinestro, and other lantern characters from the sets.

If they call you on something dumb like that it just means you hit a nerd nerve and you get +1 Internetz. Wasn't there a meaningless riot thread on here for Squirrel Girl? Why can't we do something equally silly for a Hydra generic?

Thats what trolling is? Man I thought involved sitting under a bridge and making folks answer riddles to get across. Well I dont want to be a troll thats for damn sure.

If you start up a separate thread asking for the Hydra dial, I'm sure no one would have a problem with it.

Just got back from Origins. Had a blast! Won all three horsemen and made top 16. Unfortunately, that's where my progress stopped.

I had this exact same team, but got pitted against my good friend who I went down there with (Deadpool55) in the first round (lame). He had a great NC Martial Artist team that had Robin (AA). He won that game due to Robin's incap on Metron and Metron missing a huge Quake roll (twice).

We did have a side-tourney with many good players, including the Four Points guys and Massu (all GREAT people, BTW). My Zoomtron team did take 1st in that event, so I was happy that the team I made won 1st in the real tournament and the side one.

Congratulations to the guy that won (I forget your name - sorry!). I'm glad you made it with the same team haha.

I wish I could understand the absolute hate for Nightcrawler, when Metron is a figure that is ridiculously better for the points. I've never seen anyone complain and moan about Metron, but Nightcrawler had people wanting Ben burned at the stake for it. Crazy considering he's as overrated as smart players advertised.

My take on why people are upset about Nightcrawler:

1.) Some complain about lack of comic accuracy, which is a laundry list long (starting with the MA keyword). No LoF for 'porting. No fatigue ('Clix Nightcrawler doesn't get tired the way Kurt did). Kurt didn't use his image inducer in combat that often. "Teleportation Evacuation" would imply pulling a friend out of harm's way. Instead, it's more like "Teleportation Kidnapping." This figure can play mean in a way that just isn't Nightcrawler's feel (more like Azazel).

2.) Others complain about the game dynamic change this figure brings. He ignores other figures and terrain on movement. Plus he can move opposing figures. One or the other would be good, but together they are ridiculously great. He can't be tied up easily, which leaves opponents who are used to dealing with traditional tabletop war gaming at a complete loss on how to deal with him.

3.) haters hate.

Any two of those three and you've got a problem...

SO by this logic, every figure is a problem? cause Haters are always gonna hate, and someone always has a problem with something...
