Solid presentations of Atheism, Theism/Creationism, as well as Evolution. You could clearly see both sides of the issue(s), IMO. Also showed how badly Christians have been/are being treated for standing up for their faith. (End credits showed a long list of lawsuits.)

Yeah, I'm going to have to take your word for it. I think I could only see that "movie" with a satirical lens.

I hope you saw Cap 2 first... otherwise I question your priorities, sir!

If you haven't seen it yet, do yourself a favor and go. Now. As my buddy said to me in a text last night after the movie: 'Unreal. Without a doubt the best action movie I've ever seen. I can't wait for the next one.'
Trade to Canada. We're friendly, and we love Beavers..........
Watched Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Noah over the weekend.
Captain America was as awesome as everyone else has said.
Noah was interesting. Lot of speculation in it and missing key elements from the Bible, like Noah's conversation with God. Some rather surprising elements that were from the Bible, like the flood and the covering of Noah. An interesting, but alternative story. Do yourself a favor and spend the 2.5 hours reading the account in Genesis 5:25-9:29 instead.

I saw it, too.

It's better than the usual faith-based film.

I did. It was really good. I'm not ready to say it was better than Iron Man or Avengers, but it was really, really good.
I dug out a pair of unwatched DVDs from my collection this week. First: Training Day. This was a great film whose title did not prepare me for what I'd see. Kept me thinking about it well after the credits with questions of ethics and "What would I have done?"
Second: As Good As It Gets. It was not as good as I'd hoped, despite the fact that I heart Helen Hunt.
God is smarter than we are....
Visit Heroclixin'! Or check out my trade thread. Molly Hayes' KO list: HoT Ultron, HoT Thor, SI Iron Man, AV Wonder Man, SI Sentry, LE Diana Prince, R IC Ultron, Pretty Boy, CW Kang, IIM Thunderball, TW Catwoman, OP Red Hulk.
Watched Captain America: The First Avenger with my wife so she'd be up to speed when she watches the sequel. She thought she would hate Cap in any movie until she saw Avengers and decided to give him a chance. She thought that First Avenger was fun, and only had two complaints:
1) Red Skull is a flat villain
2) Bucky's death happens so quickly with so little time for reflection (Probably won't be an issue for her for long)
Saw Winter Soldier over the weekend and really enjoyed it. It didn't blow me away, but for what it was (high action, popcorn flick), it was certainly a good time. A great take on a present day Cap.
Overall I think Cap has my favorite overall set of movies in the Marvel U, with Iron Man a close second (although, I might be the only person who liked IM3...)
Finally saw Winter Soldier. Can't believe I missed the Agent 13 references until the end of the movie.
Great film, loved the whole thing. And while I'm on the topic, the reason I don't like Agents of SHIELD as a series is that I expected the SHIELD agents from the start of the movie, not the ones from the next 3/4 of it.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
Which apparently means Hydra is competent but SHIELD is not. And damn did I want someone to say "aren't you a little short to be a henchmen?" to Hill when she showed up. Also also-did anyone get the Moff Tarkin vibe from the white-haired dude with his finger on the trigger at the end?

Watched Fun Size as part of the EPIX three month trial I'm getting and what a wasted opportunity it was all over the map like a TOMTOM with Parkinson. But, the little kid in the Spider Man costume saves this film by coming across as one half Michael Meyers and one half Ferris Bueller I wish the whole film would have focused on him. Sadly it doesn't and we're forced to labor through two sub plots one involving the kid's mother and her midlife crisis . The other is about the older daughter who losses her little brother on route to a party one of the "cool kids" invited her to and the "crazy misadventure" that happens while looking for the kid with her group of social misfit friends.
Watched Dredd. Pretty standard setup for the action, but it didn't take away from how much fun it was. The slow-mo drug sequences were only ok in standard, but I'm sure 3D would have made those scenes even better. I hope they make a sequel.

Early reports were that it didn't make enough, but maybe that's changed. Here's hoping.
I caught that at our local dollar theater in 3D. Maybe not "knock your socks off" but very cool.

I could have sworn I saw some story recently somewhere that Karl Urban himself signed a petition calling for a sequel, but I have no confirmation of the story, so don't take this as gospel.
