I can't wait for WoL to start at my venue, because my wife and my sister-in-law are gonna get all the pieces they can in my name! I swear, the only reason I still buy blind is because I can count on those two to pull everything I need.
Hopefully they don't roll as bad as me, I will feel bad for them.
And just like that summer 2014 is ruined. Summer 2013 was ruined when my boss had a quadruple bypass in July that forced me to work 10+ hours a day, seven days a week from July to October.
She had a small allegedly-benign tumor removed from her lady parts three weeks ago. Results came back Friday, she definitely has cancer and they'll need to remove all her lady parts with an eight week recovery.
so yeah... good bye... summer 2014.
On the plus side, you don't have to have a quadruple bypass surgery, and your lady parts were removed years ago.
Coworker, standing IN my cubicle: "Blah blah blah cough cough cough......Oh, sorry, I don't want to come any closer. I don't want to give you what I've got."
Really? You don't, huh?
Next time try the phone...or email...or instant message.
Of course, biology is apparently not a subject about which people have a strong understanding here. We are talking about a place where I mentioned a local canine blood drive and a coworker went on a rant about how that was a horrible thing.
Wondering why someone would object to having life saving blood for dogs, I had to inquire further.
"Well, if people are giving their blood, it should be used to save human lives. I know people love their dogs, but people are more important than any dog, so if that blood can be used to save a human life instead, then that dog has to be sacrificed."

...yet...

I am glad that my contact with such people is limited.
What if one day, all of the seemingly-mindless people are revealed to have been mind controlled by some egotistical corporate dude somewhere, and he has decided that now is the time that he will strike, and take over the world?
