Lol, ummm noo. Sorry, but PTDN has been out for a while, so i thought most would already know. But no, not a secret, just a nice, easy to get Super rare. Get em while they're hot, boys!
Wow, this thread got big. Reading back over a lot of my posts, I was really obnoxious sometimes heh
Anyway, I noticed that most of the 'tactics' I posted on here are really out of date now and I never really got around to writing about the newer cards or adding to my strategy articles.
So my question is: would anyone like to see some revised D. Tactics posts with the original card lists and strategies updated for the current sets and format? And also would anyone like me to pick up my old tactics articles again and continue them?
I've been out of touch with the game for a while now, but I'm familiar enough with the current meta to figure how to work dragons - and my own particular brand of dragon decks - into it.
Dragon Reborn!! go for it!! I would love too hear ur Ideas!! Ur tactics really helped me out in the past. Right now I think the Dragon with most potential is BEWD!!
DAD? Are u talking about Light and Darkness Dragon? Anywho I think BEWD has great potential now because theres so many cards that can bring on to the field. Swing of Memory, Birth Right, Decoy Dragon and that spell card that lets u special summon a high level nurmol monster ( I cant remember the name of the card) I just think that BEWD has a bright future ;)

uh, ... no ... Dark Armed Dragon. Where have you been the last 3 months ? The card your thinking of is Ancient Rules. Which is a great way to -1 yourself in a format that walks over your BEWD regardless. Beatsticks just aren't worth the trouble in this format with so many easier to summon large monsters and a lot of built in monster removal like DAD, snipe and zerato.
Now, now. The key to any good dragon deck is always speed and versatility, both of which are contained in a Blue-Eyes deck, but sadly to a lesser extent than the Dark decks in this format.
Anyway, I can't see many people using D.A.D in a normal dragon deck, he requires his own particular deck type, same as the Emperor or Rainbow Dark.
Dark Armed aside, I can see the other Dark Dragon variants - and of course, Red-Eyes - performing quite well.
Will they be competitive? Most likely not, but then, Dragons rarely are. Which is ironic since this is the second meta to be defined by a Dragon card. Although arguably the meta is defined by the Dark support and D. Fusion/RftDD.
Currently, there's only 9 or so more proxies I need to replace to finish the Dark Armed deck I'm taking to nationals, after which I'll be working on a nice Dark Dragon recursion deck, the guts of which will probably be included in a tactics article at some point.
The thing I like about Dragon decks - and I've said this in the past - is they're a simple enough factor for beginners to get their heads around, but they also offer enough complexity and strategy for more experienced deckbuilders to have fun with. They might not win big tournaments or championships, but they can be competitive in smaller, local metas.
Well there is a new card out that could be major support to both red eyer and the blue eyes theme.... elemental hero prisma, since both dragons have fusions you can use prisma to dump them to the grave for recursion, he works as afusion sub, and he can be used to play burst stream, anf inferno fire blast.... without the need for a double trib monster on the board

Yup, he supports both deck types very well. Being Light means he leans a bit more on the Blue-Eyes side - where he also favors the recursion factor. In Red-Eyes I would be more inclined to use Apocalypse Knight or Grepher, Prisma's ability to trigger Inferno is nice and all, but the other two offer much more versatility.
HAHAHAHAHA!!! They only realesd LOB in my AREA!!! LOL! That's rich!! >.<...................................................................... Anywho what I meant is that BEWD is the most promising Dragon for a dragon deck. I agree with Dragon-Reborn DAD ( oh belgain I could not think of what Dragon u were talking about, most of my post's are done at 2 am ) is a very good card but very difficult to built a Dragon Deck around. Now BEWD fits perfectly with a F.G.D and other Dragon support cards. DAD needs cards that will support him and most arent really suited for a Dragon deck.
Well I don't know if u guys have heard but theres a new structure Deck coming out. It's called The Dark Emperor and inside it will be five new cards. One of the new cards is Different Dimension Incarnation. You send a card from ur hand to the graveyard and u get to special summon one of ur monsters removed from play!! I think this would work wonders with Draongs Mirror.
Also I heard a rumor that Gandora the Dragon of Destruction is coming out in the Next Booster Pack, has anyone else heard of this?
Gandora The Dragon of Destruction
This card cannot be Special Summoned. Pay half of your Life Points to remove from play all cards on the field except this card. For every card that is removed by this effect, this card gains 300 ATK. This card is sent to the Graveyard at the End Phase of the turn it was Summoned.

Structure's released and all, the card is D.D.R. - Different Dimension Reincarnation. I'm playtesting it right now in a Strike Ninja deck. In all honesty though, Dragons make more use of their Graveyard than their RFG pile. Could be a useful Sideboard or as tech though.

DDR might go well with Dragon's Mirror though. All those dragons I remove don't see play again until the next game.
