- Each character has the trait 'Search for an Easter egg'.
Search for an Easter Egg
Using this ability doesn't cause pushing damage.
When a character is given a move action and ends their action on or adjacent to hindering terrain , roll 1d6 and consult the following
1. Receive a special item. This item may be equipped to a character automatically (the relic/special item roll doesn't have to be made)
2. Gain one random power, lasts 2 turns.
3. One random power is deactivated until the end of the players next turn. Power is selected from the characters card (if the power is not showing this has no effect)
4. Place a 'must-find-more-EGGS!' token on the character card - this character cannot make attacks until the token is cleared. The token can be cleared by using the 'Search for an Easter egg' power.
5. Gain a power of your choice, lasts until the end of your next turn
6. Receive a special item. This item may be equipped to a character automatically (the relic/special item roll doesn't have to be made)
There will also be slight changes made to the Krakoa map roll as well ... he he he
Oh that reminds me, can everyone bring in as many Man-Things and Swamp things as they have - just asking, they may be needed ...
600pts Modern Age, 4 actions a turn, no colossals.
We're using the upcoming PAC next week to give it a trial run! Some powers got better (Yay!!), some got worse (Boo!!) but we're trying them all out!!
Note: Not using the rulebook changes yet, only the PAC itself, so bring one along yourself otherwise I will have a couple printed out.
Any questions? Ask away!
Also, due to a number of reasons, the Thursday games will be moving to a fortnightly format from next week. So the following game will be the 23rd of May, then 6th of June, etc.
The jumble and tumble of the catastrophic events of the earthquake that visited itself upon an unsuspecting Gotham has resulted in ...
... Strange Bedfellows
Build a two part team
First part
- 100pts golden golden age
- one figure only - the head of your team faction
- unrestricted feat cap allowable on the figure
Second part
- 300pts DC modern age
The first round proceeds as per normal - representing life before the cataclysm. But from the second round, after things are mixed up and everybody has to help out in different places and different ways - your 300pt team is swapped with your opponent for the rest of the tournament.
This format will be used for both No Man's Lands -
Sunday 19th May, and
Thursday 23rd May
Oh, and by the way ...

Assuming that Good Games can get Teen Titans by release day, whats the chances of making this a sealed or draft for one or both of these days?
If titans are in, sure thing
Thursday's judge alerted me to the amount of ... shall we say, disquiet, about the proposed format.
I wanted to see figures people hadn't played before.
We made the format highlander by the way (forgot to put it in the original post).
By having to play with your team then hand it over, we thought -
- it would satisfy the people who didn't want to have just a straight team swap, who wanted a 50/50 chance
- it would fit in with the whole idea of the pre-earthquake vs post cataclysm idea of the whole senario
- it would make it less likely for people to make truly bad teams if they had to hand them over after they had played with them once (make a team which gels with your hero but doesn't with other leaders, for instance).
But we are not ogres. I originally suggested a straight team swap with the Sunday crowd and was met, I must admit, with an almost universal negative reaction.
Again I have to admit the play-then-swap team is a hard one to build for.
If people want we will revert to -
- 400pts Modern age DC
- you must play a faction/keyword that you haven't played before and isn't your own faction.

We will be using the above format, unless Titans is in, in which case the following format will be used
- 300 Points Titans Draft
I will be sitting in on the drafting, but obviously not playing on the day.
I do this because I can at least feel slightly involved with the common people, rather than alone and aloof in my ivory tower looking down at all you pitiful worms struggling for my enjoyment.
I understand your position being high and mighty in your ivory tower but also having difficulty associating with us "common people"....
If you are free other days - I'm more than happy to play some casual games with you cause I personally always found that judging blows cause you don't get to play a lot.
Let's face it we all started playing this game to play the game - not watch or I guess in your case be high and mighty somewhere looking down upon us "common people".....
From - One of the Dancing Worms
PS: I think I can speak for all Clix players when I say we prefer "common people" over "Dancing Worm"

I appreciate the offer, but I was actually kind of burnt out from playing anyway, so I'm enjoying judging and cursing people's dice with my eyes atm. And I do still get in an occasional game depending on the number of players, so it's all good.
And how does "Mangy Peasants" rate of the list of names players prefer to be called?

"Young Hooligans"?
"The Great Unwashed"!?!
Cheers,
I like "Mangy Peasants" as it sounds like I have hair and "Young Hooligans" as it make me younger. What about "Young Mangy Peasants"? That would be ACES!!!

"Young Mangy Peasants" sounds like the name of an American College Radio band.
