I hate when neutrals claim unprovoked, personally, but that's mostly from a mod perspective. Throws off balance and pretty much makes both sides back off, which irritates me. Mafia should never be a free pass for anyone.

I suppose neutrals favor town early game but mafia late game. Claiming early means they get left alone and are more likely to be around late game. So... I guess that favors mafia.

Then again, I hate when anyone claims unprovoked. Mass claims completely throw the balance off and I've had a couple of my own games ruined by it.

I take the fun out of being neutral?

Just don't claim neutral at the beginning of the game. Or do something really helpful before or right after you claim neutral to put yourself on the town's good side.

And what distraction? We're lynching a player we think is mafia.

You can say neutrals don't side with the mafia but survivors sided with the mafia at endgame in the last three games I played. You can't tell me that's not a legitimate concern.

It is a concern, yes. And yes, your play style in this regard ruins my fun, MY fun. Just sayingbive been on the receiving end of this.

And a big portion of the day was focused on Rokk. If Ice hadn't said is thing I wonder how things would have gone on the Rokk or Pax front. I felt it was one huge distraction from Pax.

Okay. That would warrant some attention.

All who claim Town - especially early - is anti-Town, under that argument. After all, take everything I said today except I say I'm Town. Still lays out a map to the Mafia as to whom it's maybe going to want to target and at what point they feel they can kill me. I would have failed to serve the Town well.

Thing is, you're backing down now and saying it's the claiming but earlier is when you got yourself in a bit of a whistle trap. Remember you said it wasn't that I claimed Neutral but you started twisting things with "implying [i] am saying don't Cop me". Don't investigate the Neutral. That's the message you accused me of "implying", but really you tried to plant "Rokk says leave him alone." as a message into the heads of anyone who maybe was just skimming or following only the last couple pages and wouldn't do any researching. You accused me and then when you were asked to prove it, the story turned to "implied" and then this whole skirting of the Game of Twister by explaining why claiming Neutral is bad.

Yet, let's face it, my dear One Eyed Jack, not only did I not imply "Don't investigate me.", I invite it. I know it's part and parcel of my claim. Heck, it's a large part of why I did the "evil" of saying "I'm the Switzerland of the game." (Neutral and concerned more about money ). Because I knew any such claim that I was a machine as my primary - even one with an apparently sentient AI and a magnificently Hawt piece of cinema engineering - would subject me to massive scrutiny. Now should I have laid out a welcome mat fibbing "I'm Town" so I could then have someone scream "J'accuse!" when it didn't fit their research or should I just be open about it from the start?

I am cool with voting for JRS4 since it's deadweight at this point and we don't have much traction there. I really need clarification from Rokk on the statement I quoted.

(By the way, one last note on your above advice - I -had- done something that I'm hoping was Town friendly when I smuggled SL and the second player. So, Mafia figures I'm targeting you so that you'll "leave me alone for three days". That would mean "So let's MD Rokk so he snuggles the wrong person, mess with JoH, and tomorrow lynch focus is back on a lot of time wasted on Rokk instead of ferreting out one of us." I know you're experienced enough to know that but, hey, you and I have some rust to shake off if we're going to reinvigorate this place so I'm going to just figure you blanked on that little standard shenanigan.

Remember that prior Hawtness game you've griefed me over for pulling the Kingslayer maneuver on Dany (SL) and Thawmus? This ol' Lannister does pay his debts and, in this case, I wanted to clear that one from my ethical ledger by helping SL for the Nite (and I would have picked Thawmus as the second character if he was in the game).

That's all I meant and thought SL would gwt a kick out of being called that again with a wink wink to a tumultuous moment of Hawtness Past.
