I wonder if there is a price for each toon based on popularity from the polls --or-- if every 3*/4*/5* is the same price

I would doubt that they would want to confirm/advertise the imbalance of their system.

I have 4 Howard the Duck and 3 Devil Dino covers that I would gladly trade for the chance of something I am going to use if I could. They are all going to be turned into ISO dust because I have no roster space for limited characters.

Trading within your alliance
(must be part of an alliance for X days, probably only able to trade if the toon has been around long enough to be entered in a vault or be a BH) would be a great way to enhance the game while keeping it limited to just 20 people.

But seriously what is that worth if there was actual trading within your alliance?

I am offering 7 covers. Assuming NBPerp and Harpua are both part of my alliance I could be getting a minimum of 1400 CP, 7000 HP, or 420 Deadpool tokens.

Heck! for all I know maybe D3 would over charge for trading within an alliance so their HfH idea doesn't go bust. OR maybe D3 with act as a "middle man" like ebay and paypal and charge a "fee" when these trades occur. Not a monetary fee just a fraction of the CP, HP, or Tokens being traded. I don't think they would allow the unwanted 4* cover to be traded for 1000ISO because then they would never have people biting at the chance for their HFH vault. Either way, what does this mean for me?

From the numbers above I could get a combination of or maximum of
70CL pulls, 56 LL pulls, 7 roster spots, 7 4* toons, or 420 Deadpool tokens.

I realize this is only "worth it" to spend those resources when limited characters are being offered. It is still only worth it for D3 if we are trading 1-for-1 a cover of the same rarity. The worst that could happen for my trade partners is that I ask NBperp and Harpua to open up some CLs or LLs to get me some random 4*s to trade. But still...

I would love to help by trading within my alliance, and I say that as someone who will much more often be providing to my alliance; I think it'd be pretty rare that someone has something I need and are in a position to give it to me.

However, 1-for-1 is definitely not something that D3 would see as worthwhile. They have no gain from that other than, maybe, user appreciation. (This is the internet, I assure you that even with 1-for-1 trading, there would be some who complain).

For D3, I think, there would need to be a cost - HP, most likely - to submit something for trading. And then another cost (again, HP is a good bet) to redeem a trade. What I would design:

I a special Alliance vault where you pay 100 HP to put something in it. When you do, it also puts in a 2* for every * of the thing you put in (e.g., add a 5* and it goes in with five 2*s). Then you pay 100 HP to get a random something out of it. You could mess with what gets put in as part of your submission to make it a bit better/worse as need be.

Why would you pay HP to put something in it? I would be better with the idea if I just donated the cover to the alliance vault.

Because D3 is a business and they're not gonna give a feature without it driving sales somehow.

IT seems like they are going for a villain who sometimes plays nice but they are a villain at heart.

Whoever it is, I kinda want to try him out with Sabretooth and Medusa.

I'm guessing reveal during the week, but probably drops on Thursday with a new event? Are we due for an alliance event soon? Gosh, but I miss the forums being up to date with upcoming stuff

Regarding the new 5* character...

It is hard to say.
They did the almost (or precisely?) back to back releases of Professor X and Iceman well before the anniversary.
I don't even recall which of the two came first, let alone which (if either) went with a boss event. (I want to say Chuck, and I want to say that someone had the Apocalypse event.)
I'm always up for a boss/special event as long as it isn't that weird one where you have different levels to play. The coordination on that one tends to go into the crapper. Same with Civil War, but we still manage to do ok on that one.

If it does drop this week, then I think it would roll into the LLs on November 11th.
