Chicago is one of those bands that the first thing I heard was their later/poppy/some would say "sell out" stuff. I thought Stay The Night was fire.
Every Band has their era that was "great" for each person listening. I think their pop hit songs were great and their early stuff was great too. It depends what mood I am in.

You need to go out to a store and buy the CD. Then you have to pop it in the player and rock out with the liner notes old-school-style...
(not saying the album is great but the situation allows you to enjoy the music and take it in)

I can see the argument for that. However, my current method of "is it good enough to grab my attention while I'm working" has helped me to make a playlist of Clutch songs that I REALLY like, and make other people listen to.
At this point in my life, I don't want to make the time to sit down with an unknown album from an artist who has just a handful of songs that I like vs a ton that I don't.
Hmmmm, the defense of "If I claim it could be me, then people will think it's not me because I'm not actively denying it." Very clever. As if size has anything to do with it. My eye is still on you, "Styx". A homunculus name if I ever heard one.
Just finished watching the Classic Stock Car Tournament finals. All I gotta say is...SHAKE AND BAKE!
That's been my favorite tournament so far. I loved the stock car racing of the '70s-90s or so, maybe even into the early 2000's, and a ton of those cars were represented in that tourney.
Woke up to speakers not working on my main PC this morning. Worked fine last night.
So today I spent over an hour rebooting my computer, checking and rechecking connection, updating my speaker software drivers, troubleshooting both internally and even having online support help.Couldn't figure it out. Even went to a restore date from last week and did that.
Long story short, my wife had gotten up to let our sick dog out during the night and the computer was on, running some Youtube WW2 history videos. She turned off the speakers because she didn't want to mess around with logging on to turn anything off at o Dark thirty. It had been a update and restart night, and evidently when it restarted it took back up where I left off? Anyway, after telling her a couple times that our sound didn't work, it finally clicks with her while we're having supper with my folks that she shut them off.
LOL. I can't believe you didn't check to see if the speakers were on. Classic homunculus move.
Speakers haven't been turned off, ever, in like 8 years. I'd used the computer until 11pm or so, and resumed use at about 6:20am (gotta love this remote teaching stuff). Never would have occurred to me that someone else came into my office to turn off the speakers.
I taught Elementary School for many years. In one of my 3rd grade classes, I set up 4 computers for a computer center and all 4 were working the day before school started. The first day of school and I'm having the students take a reading test on the computer and 1 of the computers wasn't working. I checked everywhere to make sure everything was plugged in. One of the students comes over and says the cord going into the monitor isn't plugged in all the way. I made sure to move her desk near the computers. I found out later that she was the daughter of one of our school district's computer tech specialists. She was a blessing.
