damm WK for making Green Goblin an SR at least Norman is a useful AE right away starting with shield and outwit. But it's non-tits having his other form be a SR. Fortunabtly Iron Patriot is only rare and is the better fig.
with Norman or IP on the field the hammer generics become like mini Roy harpers.
I don't want to play a game of chess where dumb luck or money decides whether or not I get to use a rook... Collectibility is a necessary evil of Heroclix, not a boon.
I like how they're already doing some crazy stuff with the AE machanic.
IP is the better AE. I'm surprised that Goblin isn't that good. Love the sculpt, but he's extremely front loaded, get him off the running shot and he's a sitting duck.
Anyone know the format to LSOM? I might be able to show up tomorrow

Sorry Charlie! I said that I was taking a break (and then the Flame War happened and distracted everyone) until Watchmen comes out. I said "get it while it still available". Too Bad....
Dammm! Norman (as an AE) has 9 friggin' clicks of life if he AE's into Green Goblin for only 66pts! Sure its an SR that he's changing into, but its a ton of options for a low price! Doom has Mastermind fodder! Too bad they don't have a Cabal keyword.... If you have all 3 to play, you can choose to stay with outwit and choose Iron Patriot or you can switch to Perplex and choose Goblin. Like I said, options.
War machine is still awesome and IP won't replace, but IP does have some advantages. Upfront psyblast, leadership, shield ta, imperv, goes into outwit.
IP gives a little support to your team and is stilll a pretty good click.

It's an interesting way to KINDA bring back In Contact With Oracle with Oracle on the card.
For 66 points, you get the option to have a figure with Perplex or a figure with Outwit. On top of it all, the S.H.I.E.L.D. ability.
But for 66 points though, and the fact that you have to figure out what figure to use from the get-go (Patriot for Outwit, or Goblin for Perplex....I'd honestly go for Patriot 8-10 times) and a 33% chance of not getting what you want; it's a bit iffy for me.
What also sucks is that you kinda have to get the Super Rare Green Goblin just to make sure if you hit a 1-2, Norman won't be all for naught.
Honestly, I think you're better off using 66 points elsewhere, or splurging a little more points for some of those awesome 70-73 point figures.
It's an interesting mechanic for constructed, but you're really paying those points for options, and Patriot is the only way to go to get your points worth. and I say this gritting my teeth.
In sealed, getting to use the AE for Norman will be a #####!

The only thing at this point that Patriot has over War Machine is that first click with Impervious, the shield TA, and a smattering of 3 outwit clicks, you can at least push onto the first and second one, but the 3rd you just kinda have to hope you land on it.
He's okay, but his attack values suffer from 'Susan Richards Syndrome'.
IP is pretty good. Yeah, War Machine has some definite advantages, but as said, its power placement. Upfront PB on his RS clicks, Imperv over Invuln, the presence of a TA, going into outwit instead of RCE, he's got some advantages you can build around.
The Goblin, I will admit, is weaker but I still like him. At 122, he's costed with the Thunderbolts ATA in mind. At 130 points, he's a stealth buster, or he's got 11 attack from Ult X-Men. Coupled with the Perplex, its not too shabby. He's a B-lister, but I'll definitely play him in fun games and scenarios.
Norman I don't know if I will ever play with. I don't see many options, personally. He's 66 points for Outwit. 6 Movement, and no way to get around Hindering.
Here's how you deal with Norman: Shoot his Taxi, collect the points, and then leave Norman alone the rest of the game. He'll be struggling to keep up with you.
If you never attack him, he has to push himself four times to get to where he can activate his Goblin power (barring Phone Booth) and, as with all AE's, as soon as he's on that particular click, you hit him once for 2 damage and he's gone, with no transformation. He's more expensive than Question and Lightspeed together, and less useful.
Of course, I'm a little disappointed in him anyway, because I was hoping for some sort of cool SP on his dial to represent his HAMMER leadership. Instead we get Outwit. Uninspired.
The Inhuman of Team Vegas,
Black Bolt of the Vegas Illuminati
1. I think the 2nd 400 point Lantern team is locked. I think.
2. If anyone is looking to trade off Black Lantern figures, I gotta guy in Lawrence who's interested.
Same guy also has a Chase Spider-Woman for trade, if anyone is looking.

I'm going to be dorking out for this new set but that Green Goblin doesn't compare to the LE Norman from FF for the points.
That being said, I don't think he's horrid. But the whole AE thing...I think you'd rather play Iron Patriot if you had to choose (and win your "sanity" roll).
Like that Hammer Generic though. Great power.....with Norman.
Just wait til' Mysterio rolls on out. And Cosmic Spidey. Then you're going to have something to crow about.

I totally looked over Goblins 'thunderbolts' Keyword. I feel silly.
It makes goblin A LOT better, not by much, but definitely helps him out.
There may be a chance that I may not be able to attend the tournament. The orders to my next assignment are in the process of being canceled, but the tech school I was supposed to attend before I go to the next assignment haven't been canceled as of yet.
If it doesn't get sorted out, I'll be in Texas when the lantern tournament rolls around.
On a lighter note, I just hammered out team #8. I'm glad that's over with because every time I try to make a slight change, it puts the team over by 1 point. Which was frustrating because I somehow found 5 different ways to keep throwing the team into 401 effortlessly.
So right now, here's the teams I'm sitting on:
1. Metal Gear Budget
2. No LOF Required
3. That Yellow Bastard
4. HoT Pants
5. Confidence Killer
6. Brute Force Trauma
7. KC + The Sunshine Band
8. The Budgeteers
