Yeah, you think you might be able to ask her to kinda like...err...you know, hold it in for a while? Just tell her you prefer your kids "Well Done" and since that particular oven is a slow cooker, about 3 more months should be fine.

Just letting you guys know, I've canceled my Vent server. I can't justify owning it, so that we can play once every 3 months.

The good news is, it's active until early July of 2009, so we can still use it until then. Didn't think my subscription was that long, but apparently so.

Given that there hasn't been any discussion for months, I feel that it's safe for me to ask: Who wants to play some D&D?


I'd be willing to DM again, and give my campaign another go. My vent server is still paid for until August. I'm up for either 3.5 or 4th editions.

I've got 3.5 stuff, but I don't have 4.0 books. I'd be interested in trying it, just so I can get a handle on how you run it online, as my old group that I moved away from is talking about doing just that.

I might be willing to give this a shot. Things are...well...crazy busy again. If you guys need a fourth or soemthing, i'll sign on, but until then, I probably shouldnt

Well, do you want to DM again, or do you want to play? I'm more inclined to have you just play, if you're going to be tied up again come Fall, but that's your call.

Well, I do love me some D&D. I do run a semi-weekly home game and play in others on occasion. Not sure about playing online. I would love to play though...too bad we are on different time zones.

I totally disagree with Gentlegamer. I love 4th edition. Full disclosure, I was not an AD&D guy and started with D&D at 3.5. However, I had played many roleplaying games over the years.

I love the pacing of 4th...I love how easy it is to DM for. The combat may seem more 'video gamey' but why is that a bad thing?

Maybe I'm just lucky, but I have a group of 5 players that have been coming to my house about 3 times a week for the past 6 months. They are having a great time and are just about to 7th level. What's wrong with that?

I'm definitely torn between DMing/playing, as well as doing 3.5/4th.

There's pros and cons with each.

But I agree about 4th edition. They definitely have a more controlled approach to the game, that has a lot less potential for rules-meistering. I very much enjoy the WoW and Book of Nine Swords touches to the game, as well.

I think part of my love for 3.5 still is that it's such a diverse game now, thanks to the thousands of expansion books. There's a gazillion races and base classes, as well as prestige classes, and there's lots of different options to choose from.

4th just isn't at that point yet. It inevitably will be, but not yet.
