Am inclined to believe 2005th JackOfHearts at moment.
Vote: Brainiacftw
The Jack of the Hearts smells less suspicious than winning brain person at moment, at any rate. And do not think I have seen posts from robot man yet since daily vote pressure begin.
On the other hand, ERS seemed pretty darn clear. You could have offered to him.
Your protest against me - the person who was verified by the Mod as paying the blackmail - and was being taxed (wherein I noted that was a Day power I learned about during Nite so that should have told you how your power would work with Nifty) - wasn't that I'm not Town but you didn't like my trying to think outside the box (someone suggests it in the rules and you know I'll try burning an IKEA to be rid of all boxes). You allowed Personal to take over again.
So two people who were a lot less shady - ERS seeming a solid choice - and you go and help the guy we were trying to lynch?
For the flip reason you are against Mal: ERS had no hesitation to take the bet with me. It's why I felt comfortable enough about him to pay his ransom. I figure if he was non-Town he wouldn't have risked the Mod approving my bet.

Besides, because your power opposes Fisk's Tax, maybe all that means is your Mafia can counteract his and you're a Reporter?
Or maybe you were making a gesture to an opposing Mafia so they would leave you alone?
Possible. One mafia can gain more S while another can use it more efficiently? Has a certain amount of symmetry and keep in mind, the S mechanic is new.
I just can't read JoH. And given some of the lengths scummers have gone to recently, any potential lines of thought are not 100% true, how likely or unlikely.
Only read to post #560. Stuck at work and trying to put a dent in some overdue work. I don't see any reason why Brainiac should be offering less than a full claim today because if not we're just going to waste more time on him.
This is despite several people indicating we need to go after JoH.

Asked yesterday but I'll ask again. What kind of neutral would benefit from reducing costs and indirect jailkeeping? What would my win condition even be?
Sure, maybe I'm a reporter. But if that's the case, why would Nifty draw attention to me as potentially one of Fisk's goons? Wouldn't he want me to look like a townie, not a member of the opposing mafia?
Ah, the casual insults. Remembering why I stopped playing.
It's his mood lately. I felt bad about calling him what I did as soon as I remembered something is going on with him.
I agree. We all need to reel back insults (inferred or otherwise) and Personals. Stranger is working hard to make this a casual "Silver Age Fun" gathering for us and we need to help him. (We should always try to play that way but you know what I mean..)

We only have your word on your power. No one has seen it in action.

Fair point.
A daring vet could accept the bet, banking on Stranger nixing it.
But that's not ERS's style. He's very likely town.

It seems to me either train of thought works. I'm not really believing JOH and brainiac is highly evasive. At this point, I don't think either one would be a bad lynch candidate.
