Brainiac grows out of the metal and circuitry. "I am Brainiac. I'm here to destroy you."

"Dleihs!" Zatanna says and Brainiac's master surprise assault is thwarted leaving the robot in the midst of several angry, and unhurt, opponents.

I feel for you. Nothing worse than a big debut going flat. I do love that Brainiac sculpt. Fun version of him.

I actually haven't played Catwoman yet, if my list is correct. I'll run the FFBTAS. She teleports to K10.

Evolutionary uses his Perplex on her Damage. Rolls 2 and 6, also ups her Speed and Free Choice. I'll take AV.

She attacks Brainiac. AV12 on DV17. Over 300 again so, gets 6,2,3. Oz makes it 3,1,5. An 8 hits him for 4 with Exploit.

Evolutionary on Brainiac, AV11 on DV16. Gets 5. 3 more after Toughness is a KO

Stranger to MC Bane. AV10 on DV18 +1. Rolls 3,6,4. Gets him.

Bane uses his Venom Pump for 2 tokens. Charges to K16 on Panther. AV10 +2 on DV17 +2. Gets 9. SS is 4. 5 to Panther and Bane will take 2 from the Venom.

Slapstick takes HSS to K9, blocking Brainiac, on the Rhino, AV10 on DV17. Gets 7. Precision Strike gets 1 through, a KO.

"I hope the process is reversible," Catwoman said.

"Why would you want it to be?" the High Evolutionary asked, using the power of the Cosmic Cube to finish off Brainiac.

"Bane is a complicated man," the Phantom Stranger noted. "But his addiction makes him easy to manipulate." He increased the effects of the venom in Bane's bloodstream. The enraged Bane attacked the Black Panther.

I don't suppose you'd want to give Bane the steal energy from bloodaxe on that turn. Wanna think about it?

Let's hope I don't get a repeat of last turn. I'll dust off Zzzax. Psylocke makes his av 11. He pulses. Gets 7. Not bad. 1 to Phantasm for a ko, kos the bats, 1 to Zee, High Ev, PS, Pride, Catwoman, Astronomer. This was what I wanted Brainiac to do last turn but with gaining promotion tokens galore.

Electricity sparks. Suddenly a giant being appears where the Panther was and lets forth a burst of electricity leaving no foe unscathed.

"I usually save these kind of attacks for my most hated enemy, the Hulk," Zzzax says, "But you all will do."

Kobik stands at the edge of the battlefield, trying to get the best angle to see. "Now that guys is exciting," she says, "What's his name?".

"Zzzax," says Calculator.

"There's nothing subtle about him, is there?".

"Not in the least, kiddo."

I'll take Xavin for my replacement. He will teleport to I9 and go to click #2

"This guy's made of electricity? Let's see what happens if I do this," Xavin said, using Thing-like strength to tear up a metal flagpole and throw it like a spear at Zzzax. It didn't hurt the energy being physically, but the pole acted like a lightning rod, pulling Zzzax out along its length, weakening him.

"I foresee an early demise for this creature," the Astronomer said, taking out the now weakened Zzzax.

Poor Zzzax. Rarely played and I let him get koed in one shot.

So Pride and Bane were koed.

For fun, Jean-Luc Picard replaces Bane but in the starting area. Voyager tks him to F5 and makes his damage 4.

He makes Ev's dv -1, thereby invoking pact under the Diplomacy sp. Makes his av and dv -1 and makes him take a penetrating damage after he attacks:

DIPLOMACY: Perplex. If Captain Jean-Luc Picard uses it to positively modify an opposing character's defense, give that character a Pact toke. // Characters with Pact tokens modify their attack -1 and defense +1. // When a character with a Pact token makes an attack, after resolutions deal that character 1 penetrating damage and remove all Pact tokens from them.

He attacks him needing 6 (taking into account his perplex and Calc's ac boost). Rolls 7. 2 to him.

Can't do much with it but Kobik swaps Picard's United Federation ts with Phantom's mystics.

When the two collide the implosion is so severe, even Voyager can feel it securely behind the front lines.

"This is a world beyond mine," Jean-Luc Picard says pulling out a phaser on the High Evolutionary, "But I'm a fast learner."

"I prefer non-violent negotiations," Picard tells High Evolutionary.

"I don't negotiate with the evolutionary equivalent to an ant," he says.

Picard blasts him, "So be it."

Now if I'm reading Picard's Diplomacy right, in order for him to give Evolutionary a Pact token, he has to positively Perplex his DV, so you would have to make Evolutionary's DV19.

Yeah, I misread the whole thing. As much as I’d like to get the pact in play it’s much more important to hit Ev. So I’ll use vanilla perplex to lower his dv (no pact). Needs 6, rolls 8. 2 to Ev. No pact.
