I'd prefer the 4* as I'd use him more (probably), but he also already has a new skin.

You know, I really think something funny would have been to give Deadpool a "costume" where he is dressed like Kitty (or some other frequently seen potent 5*...maybe Cable as him dressing as Cable would be in his character).
Basically, in PVP, if you had DP on your defense, then he's going to look like a completely different character...a sort of false scarecrow.

It'd make a sweet "power" for Mystique, if you could assign her another character's look like a costume.

Thoughts
I'm glad Carnage won't be essential that soon after release. That was the "bad taste" from Chuck. I'm glad it'll be Sin6, I thik that's the easiest of the alliance events to get complete, at least by my alliance.

I'm guessing whales, maybe.
I don't see how it caters to the stated intended target.

Ooh..Spider-Man BIB in that store is nice...very nice...for me.
I have all but six of the released 5*'s up to 13 covers.
Of those, two (Iceman and Professor X) are in LLs and will (hopefully) be completed by going on an LT spree when Carnage enters the LLs.
Spider-Man (PP) is one cover away, and he will be completed with champ rewards after two more Vulture covers. (Again, there is a good chance of scoring those in the next LL spree.)
Hela is two covers away, but she is at a 3/3/5 build. If she gets a feeder, there is a good chance she would be instantly completed as a feeder at 300 + should do the trick. (I don't know who would be her feeder. I'd say that of the current 4*s we have, Lady Thor would be the most likely.)
Wasp is one cover away and sitting at a cruddy 5/2/5 meaning I need to stumble on the proper cover (or bite the bullet if she ever gets that cover in the stores for 250 CP).
That leaves Spider-Man BIB. I've only got 7 covers for him. On top of that, he's at a cruddy 5/1/1 build, so I have a long road ahead to get him done.

That means that my odds of a 5* pull from that store being a cover I need are 5/9. That's better than I usually see with these stores.
The minimum number of pulls I was hoping for on the next rotation was 220. I'm currently at about 241, so I can throw some CP at this store and hope to get a couple of BIB covers.

Who would that be?

While my Spidey is at 5/1/4, my Green Goblin is at 5/5/0. I am SO reticent about going into a store that has 3 useless covers ... but I'm probably going to. I think Spidey BIB is very useful offensively against Gritty and since I'm teetering on a 5* land game, it'd be good to get him up there.

I might be remembering incorrectly, but I thought that they'd said that they were doing this for the noobs because they could more easily acquire HP than CP.
Something like that, I think. My memory may be hazy.
I always find it interesting to see differing viewpoints on things like this....especially yours as you are a math/stats guy, too.

It's just funny to me because your odds are better than mine, but I'm more in favor of splurging.

As a side note, where I am, I need ~325K ISO to champ a 5* (from level 360). I have 31 who could be champed, and I've just crossed the ISO mark (10.4M) where I could take 32 up.
In an ideal world, I'll hit the point where I have all but the latests ready to go and will take them all up together.
I'll see where I stand after I do my spree when Carnage goes into LLs.
If I'm at the point where I could actually do that (take them all), then I might just go ahead and take the plunge.
If I'm not, I might still consider it, but if I can't do them all, then I might hold back on a few of the lower-tier ones and wait to champ them until they are the essential.

DO IT!!!!! You have one of the best data collection capabilities and once you've crossed that line, I can get a better feel for whether or not I want to. So far everyone I know in 5* land either is fine with it or they got in there accidentally/without thinking, are poorly prepared, and hate it.

Wasp can probably wait a hot minute.

The fact that so many people do talk about hating it is why I keep myself from pulling that trigger.
I know that my PVE game would be quite accelerated. That would be huge for me. It would mean quite a bit less time in the game. I fear that my PVP game could take a hit. That is what I definitely don’t wanna see. I am comfortable right now in knowing that I can get the 900 every time, and many times the 1000. That works well for me. I am happy with that. If I somehow started being unable to get to the 900 because I jumped to five star land, then I would be very put out.
As far as Wasp goes, People scoffed at me for champing the four-star when I did, but then a couple weeks later she got her update and actually became quite playable.
