I'm just miffed that I spent as much time as I did and I performed WORSE than the Throg tournament. So all that talk about losing gracefully. Out the window. I can't believe that I did worse than the Throg tournament.
On top of that, I'm on a diet to avoid soy, gluten and casein allergies so I'm not a mental wreck. I have not had the mental clarity as I have in the last few weeks because I'm off those foods. So to recap
I'm not mentally incapacitated anymore
I have more experience
I came in with better teams
I'm off my meds
I'm not trying to sore-loser it up. But I honestly can't make a whole lot of sense of it. Especially knowing that in the Throg tournament, I was sick, had a steiner of milk that morning and a sandwich that afternoon; On milk/gluten/soy. Mentally, I'm like Stimpy. Mentally slow as all hell and in his head at all times.
I am at a loss for words as far as my performance in the tournament goes.
And in case anyone brings it up using E2 Supes and losing had very little to do with it, but it was the straw that broke the camels back. (With all the stuff I traded in, with a lot of the new figures I got plus E2, the whole bill came out to $55.)
3) THE RULE OF OCCUPANCY
Any game effect resulting in two or more characters occupying the same square, or characters or objects occupying a square of blocking terrain, is prohibited. If part of a game effect would cause this to happen, that part of the game effect is ignored. If moving or placing a character or object would cause this, then the character or object must instead move to or be placed in a different square. Characters with certain powers and abilities may freely travel through other characters and/or blocking terrain, but if it will end its movement in the same square as another character or blocking terrain, the moving character must end its movement before entering the occupied square.
This was from the blackest night rulebook, page 6. So if a character carries the dynamostat, it cant be dropped into that square, it must be an adjacent one. Otherwise the character would be occupying blocking terrain which would be prohibited.
Norm said this...
Quote
#S004 Dynamostat: How does this object considered blocking terrain? Can it be picked up? What if it is put down?
This object will block line of fire and no character can end their movement on it (all just like blocking terrain). It is still an object and can be treated as such (by affects like Arcade's special powers). It can be picked up and since it is not Continual, its affect would end while it was picked up. If the character loses Super Strength or it is countered, the object must be placed in an unoccupied adjacent square. If not such square is available, the object is removed from the game.

Every game was tough today. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say the play in vegas has gone up. So many games came down to the last round, and several of mine were tight games, especially Dustin's. Doom just couldnt make the roll on Kid Zoom. Had a good time playing all of you.
Because I beat Dustin in that game, the belt stayed with me. I'm sure the Nature Boy wants a rematch, and he will get it soon. The American Dream lives !

I don't want to play a game of chess where dumb luck or money decides whether or not I get to use a rook... Collectibility is a necessary evil of Heroclix, not a boon.

Ugh, yeah, both of those losses today will be haunting me for a bit. :P Somedays, the dice just aren't with ya, though.
Despite that, really can't say I'm disappointed, as all 4 teams did their things, and competition was fierce all across the boards. Austin, Charles, and Roland, all good games with everyone playing their best. What more could we want?
But, yes, rematch will be in order, Mr. Rhoades.
Oh, and Inception is friggin' amazing.

Two and a half hours though. Was a good movie, but just a bit long in setup.

Roland killed my bats, who had mjolnir. He dropped it, but an object was already in that square. The new rules say that one object gets destroyed. But they also say that mjolnir cant be destroyed.
Dyno is blocking, but not when carried. When dropped, Roland thought it should be destroyed, since a character and blocking terrain cant share the same space. I cant say I disagree, except the rule makes it placed in an adjacent square.
It didnt end up mattering too much. The guy carrying it (M-11) was killed quickly, but I had already killed scarlet witch (72). He based my with kid flash, and I killed him, but thorbuster was on his last click. But his doom had 2 tokens.
Had the game gone another 5 minutes, Roland would likely have won.

Good luck to everyone still playing
That team you played against Supes was the same I played in the finals (Doom, JL Bats, Ult SW). Supes just does not stand much of a chance vs double outwit, when he cant be feated up.

As I said though, most matches of mine were close. I could have easily lost to both Dustin and Roland. The dice just abandoned Eric at a key point, but that match was close too. Even Beck and I played "chase the other team" for twenty minutes (while we both missed) before hulk finaly got sinestro bats.
I know several of the other games were tight too, with solid teams. Roland and Eric even played "mirror mirror" in the semi's.
