(Sorta) Comic Book Accurate!
400 pts Modern Age. Must be a Named Theme team.
Nice and simple!
Cheers,
NEW RULES!
People keep asking about when we will be changing to the new rules. As the rest of NML has been on the old rules, we won't be changing to the new ones on Thursdays until after we finish No Man's Land.
So the upcoming formats for thursday nights will be as follows: Thursday 6th June - (Sorta) Comic Book Accurate - 400pts Modern, Named Keyword theme team - old rules Thursday 20th June - NML #5 - 400pts, DC Modern, must include a sidekick, eg Robin, Bucky, Aqualad. Sidekick figure can be golden age - old rules Thursday 4th July - NML #6 -600pt constructed from Batman, Streets of Gotham, No Man's Land and Dark Knight Rises only - old rules Thursday 18th July - The more things change - 300pts Golden Age - NEW RULES!!
Next sunday game is 16th June - I believe it's using the Fear Itself scenario pack, but Modoc will confirm details later Sunday 30th June - NML #5 - as above - old rules Sunday 14th July - NML #6 - as above - old rules Sunday 28th July - Format:?? - NEW RULES!!
Cheers,

Reason: clarifying formats
Good Games to everyone from last Sunday and earlier tonight! I'm actually blown away by how good Hank Pym/Ant-Man/Wasp/Ant-Man/Giant Man is. Even without the added cheese of Strange's "Everybody gets 20D" trait, 75 points is an absolute BARGAIN for all that Hank is capable of. I'm kinda glad No Man's Land is DC only, because I'm having a hard time thinking of a team in which he isn't the best possible use of 75 points.
Thursday 20th June - NML #5 - 400pts, DC Modern, must include a sidekick, eg Robin, Aqualad, Ravager, Batgirl.
Sidekick figure can be golden age - old rules
Just a reminder about the format for NML #5 and the date. Modoc is going to be putting up a clarifying list of example sidekicks sometime soon.
Also, we have an issue with the NML standings. With the changing of the judging, we have lost the scoresheets for NML#1 and so do not know the outcomes.
I know Terry came first on the day, and I know I must have done ok as I have the LE from it, but I can't remember the exact standings.
So, question time, would people prefer:
(a) we base the final score on only months 2-6; or
(b) the score for month 1 is based on the average scores from months 2-6
Please let me know as soon as possible so that I can have it finalised leading into month 6.
We will be doing the second regional qualifier on Thursday 11th July (it's an off week from the normal Thursday games)
As Thursday nights are time restricted we will be playing a different format to the other Regional Qualifier (after getting the Ok from Good Games for the change)
So Thursday 11th July - GG Regionals #2 - 6:30 Start
400 pts Modern, single and peanut bases only
3x 40 minute rounds using official Wizkids tournament timing, ie time finishes and dice go down. No final round calling NEW RULES AND PAC WILL BE USED FOR THIS QUALIFIER
The Modern legal sets change on 1st of July - Only sets from Superman onwards will be Modern legal
- Look at 2.1.1.1 of the Comprehensive Tournament Rules to determine what sets are leaving
The first round will start at 6:30 on the dot to ensure we can get through all three rounds on the night.

LOL, Is this a Trick question?
Since you remembered I came first on the day isn't either one gonna to be a disadvantage for me?
To be perfectly honest I'm all for fair playing - which is why when Matt asked if we could delay No Man's Land Sunday for 2 weeks (having a baby is pretty big deal) I was first to say we should even though from memory if he misses out on the event I stand gain the most advantage. My view is IF (Big If tbh....) I can win on Sunday I prefer regular players to have a chance to come along. Winning a Batcave cause another player couldn't attend because his wife was having a baby just wouldn't sit right with me.
Continuing from the same point I also wouldn't be happy if I missed out on the Thursday Batcave cause we used the either of the suggested system on Month 1 and the amount of points ended up being the difference between me winning or losing the Cave. If I lose Fair and Square - I'm ok with that.
I thought I should just state my views and if I offended anyone in anyway it was entirely not my intention.
I have a lot of respect for both judges MODOC and Rob (although if Rob looks at my dice during a game there are occasions that I wanna punch him but I think that is normal reaction from most players...)
As always - I will ask question and state my view but at the end of the day I will go on what the judges have decided.

I'm not happy about having to take these options either, however unless someone can give me the results for month 1 of NML I'm not sure what our other choices are.
If someone can think of a better outcome then I'm all for it.
We had a temp (other) judge for month 1, who did the right thing with the results and placed them in the back room. However when I did the tidy a few weeks ago those results sheets were not there anymore.
I didn't want to just rule one way or another without asking the people that it's going to affect first.
Bring a team (both sides) for each part of the campain. I believe it will be one match of each. A number of us have the packs so if you do not have the hoard token etc don't worry.

Also lets make it Golden Age figures (no feats). This way we can see some of the older Hydra figures come out for play!
Thursday 20th June - NML #5 - 400pts, DC Modern, must include a sidekick, eg Robin, Bucky, Aqualad. Sidekick figure can be golden age - old rules
Can I check something. Does the sidekick still have to be in their sidekick "form", ie are Arsenal and Oracle still counted as sidekicks for this format?

Yes they still count. Once a sidekick, always a sidekick.
Thursday 4th July - NML #6 -600pt constructed from Batman, Streets of Gotham, No Man's Land and Dark Knight Rises only.
This is it, the finale of No Man's Land! It all comes to a head here! Who will ruin the roost on the night!
The player with the highest overall points at the end of the night will be the proud owner of a brand new Batcave!
Who are these people who might take control of the of the lair of the most curious citizen of Gotham?
The top five are (in no particular order):
Terry, representing the long arm of the GCPD
Jason, representing Killer Croc
Matt A, representing the Joker
Glen and Thomas, fittingly enough two people representing Two Face
But that's not all, as the Gang who controls the majority of NML will end up aligned with the Imperator of the Iceberg Lounge, The Penguin.
Killer Croc is in charge of two regions currently (Robinson Park & Gotham Waterfront), Two Face's Gang has one (Wayne Manor) and GCPD also has one (Gotham City Power Plant)
And there will be a secret extra prize for those who have fought longest and hardest for the future of Gotham.
If you have been to at least three of the NML events and are the highest scoring person on the day who doesn't end up with a Batcave you'll also score quite well..
...quite well indeed!
(Mr_Nobody - I am counting the event you judged as an attendance, so you do indeed meet the requirements)
Hopefully this all makes sense. If not, please ask.
Cheers,

Isn't Thomas representing Two-Face and Jason representing Killer Croc? How could you forget Jason was representing Killer Croc after his team sheet on Thursday?
Man, i love duct tape. I love how it tapes. I love the sound that it makes. I love saying it.
Duct tape. Duct tape. Duct tape.

Because I am an idiot. 8)
I'll go back and correct it, thanks for pointing it out.
Might I ask Politely that due to the way team based "ripped people a new one" on Thursday that we kindly ask people no to play them on Sunday the 30th for its no mans land #5 event.
I understand that some can be played completely within the rules set down for the event so we cant say no to you but we can use the puppy dog eyes and the "smolder" if it comes down to it :P
In the end its up to you as the players to decide if you want to or not.
