It gets kinda despressing sometimes, reading through all your guys comments, and realizing that not many people here share your world view. Or maybe just that they dont defend it because they realize itd probably be drowned out by snarky comments that bash you and your religion. Then it would be hushed up and told to move to the politcs forum.
The thing about world views is we all have them. And I think all of us here are civilized enough to discuss freely without offense.
"Leviticus 20:13 If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them."
And so I asked who should be the one to kill me as committing suicide is also a sin.
Don't get me wrong. He's still a great guy (the one who posted it). I have no ill will against him. I just find this bible passage appalling.
Really, you should be fairly far down the list of people he needs to kill, after he takes care of all the people who've disrespected their parents (which, I think, is pretty much everyone), the wizards and psychics, the people who've eaten shellfish, the guys who have shaved their beards, anyone wearing mixed-fiber clothing, men who have been in the presence of menstruating women, anyone who says "god" in a non-reverential manner, and anyone who has had sex outside of marriage. By the time he gets to you, you can probably convince him that he ought to kill one of your slaves in your place, seeing as that's supposed to be okay. Really, if the best rationale one can come up with for opposing 21st century civil rights legislation is a collection of absolutely crackers rules composed for a bunch of Bronze Age nomads squatting in the desert, I think you may need to reevaluate your evidence.
Typical. I'm in 3 games right now, and they're all closed. Tomorrow they will be open and I will be overextended.
And odd way of asking to be killed in games.

Jesus, the worst developer in history. "so we tried this whole eye for an eye thing for a while, but it hasn't worked the way we intended so we're scrapping it for a new turn the other cheek ability." 2000 years of people posting to the high above with "OMG this cheek rule is so borken, it's like a complete nerf, and....." and no change has been made.

I've been avoiding the subject, so on that you are correct. The thing sis, although we're fairly secluded in these parts, and touching on politics and religion very lightly seems to not cause trouble, I'm still obligated to set an example and follow Typhon's edict about avoiding those two subjects. I honestly wouldn't shy away from the debate if nto for that. And taking it to another section of the realms is not a good option seeing as I think it'd lose that "freindly debate" fel and just get the trolls stomping all over it. Suffice to say that I have strong views on the whole thing, but I choose to remain silent.

Would we be able to start a new thread on it in our GD section here? I mean without getting in trouble? I don't want to clog the chit-chat thread with it for those who aren't interested, but I think it could be interesting if we can manage to do it within Typhon's guidelines. Especially if we have the blessing of you, me, Quebbs, and Shel.

Actually, you know what? Go here. Seriously though. Be smart and civil. Don't get me in trouble for trying to give our subscribers what they want.
Seconded. Plus, no sense in referring to Evil Wade when Wade already has a goatee in RL - meaning that he is the Wade Wilson from the Mirror Universe already.

Long story short, this blows but I just want this week to hurry up and end so I can go to a nice relaxing "forever alone" week.
Welcome back, Darkstone. Sorry about all the drama and the trauma, dude.
Are you still coming to Philly? If you need transportation, shoot me a PM and let me know. Hang in there, olde chum.

Someone here mentioned audiobooks. I can't recommend it, but would like to hear your thoughts after listening to the audiobook of Stephen Colbert's "I am a pole (and so can you)" that is read by Tom Hanks.
