Sounds interesting enough. Do you custom build a force up to a certain point value? Or do you use game-designed teams?
I'm looking at images of them now, and they do look nice. They also look like they can break even more easily than the average HeroClix sculpt, but that isn't a big problem.
I like the thrill of a blind purchase in small samples, though.
Typical builds are 100 points. Ships range from 12 to 45-ish points. Upgrades, Crew Etc for various ships allow for a customizable squad.
Don't you do that every Friday anyway? You'd just be a few days early this week.
What are you even talking about!?

Me: You're just saying that because I'm an easy victory!
Harpua: No, I'm saying that because you're an easy victory and you take it like a champ!

I have to give props to Dave and Bud. Dave couldn't make our Wednesday tournament. He selected Bud to run the tournament. Couldn't have been better. Dave is all about our group having fun. Bud made that happen. Thanks!!
I hope Bud posts soon. He has a job that allows him to play with Play-Doe. He made a great model of his Boss!! I hope he posts a picture.
YES WE DID SAVE HEROCLIX !
Now thank us by taking care of the people that take care of you.
And yes, today was Play Doh day at work for some reason.
One of the new managers they hired is a good guy, has worked there for years. Has a collection of expensive shirts (one in every color) and those shirts became the inspiration for Mini-Mark. He liked it quite a bit. I didn't know there was a prize, but I won a $25 gift card.
Catering to the lowest common denominator since Feb 2003.
My Meat can do what your Meat can do!: Tasksmaster can use Steal energy. When he does he may choose a standard power or combat ability the targeted character can use. Taskmaster can use the chosen ability until he uses this power again.
I saw that special power name in Creative Corner and thought of you guys.

The implied funny with that power is that I imagine the creator is somehow under the impression that it also somehow heals you to click one and gives you +1 to everything for the rest of that game plus two more after that.
I taught a work buddy how to play Clix tonight. I kept things very basic. I made a 300pt team of popular Marvel characters including the new FCBD Cap and Iron Man, plus AVX Wolverine at 75pts, and a 300pt team of popular DC characters including common Batman at 100 and common Superman at 150. The only special powers between any of those characters is Batman's IM, trait, and action token buff, but I had him ignore that for simplicity's sake.
I used the Canadian Wilderness outdoor map from WXM because it has all of the basic types of terrain while still being open and not being too convoluted of a map for someone new to navigate. We went over what the symbols on the dialtop mean, how the different colors mean different powers, applying action tokens, "always round up", things like Running Shot, Charge, Flurry, and he picked up on damage reducers quickly. He also thought it was cool that Batman could chill in a square of hindering and Iron Man couldn't shoot at him.
He comes from the world of D&D and at least collects miniatures from other avenues. So he wasn't going in with no idea what tabletop gaming itself even is, like I did. It was a lot of fun.
Also, there's Star Wars Armada, which is my preference over X-Wing. It's slower paced, but more epic in scale, and a bit deeper strategy in my opinion.
X-Wing is a dogfight between a couple of fighters on each side.
Armada is a naval fleet battle with a couple capital ships on each side, with fighter squadrons for air support.
