Iceman claims RBer.
Girathon claims he CMDed ICE into Gfish 3 nights in a row.
So assuming Gfish can be blocked (which it seems he can't) then if Girathon CMDed ICE into Gfish, and we are to believe ICE is a RBer as he claimed, then Gfish would have failed. That was the connection.
Hasn't this been said many times? Gfish, like most doublers, targets during the day. The action goes through before the roleblock occrs. I think the main reason is to give the doubled person time to make a choice. Can't have a doubler send in an action just before game opens and expect the receiver to be around to respond. Delays the game. I feel you should know this. Better brush up before your own game.
I'm good with a Girathon lynch because up until today, anyone that has been paying one iota of attention, would believe ICE was an info gatherer based on his persecution of me the past 2 days or so. I actually thought it possible that ICE was the cop and just had bad info on me, seeing as how much he was set on me being evil and needing to go. So why on earth would someone CMD the cop or any town info gatherer for that matter? Yeah not town friendly at all.
Funny, I thought the same. I saw Ice as an info gatherer as well given this.
change vote to Girathon
I don't like Roy's silence, but Gira's actions are pretty damning.

Sorry about all that. My knowledge on you was not lining up with what you were saying. So I followed my knowledge.
You can understand how, with other, more viable townie powers (like Morph and Truffle) I wouldn't assume that I would be the target of someone trying to futz with me each night.
Again, I was wrong.
Even in a game with much better targets it seems I'm still just a fun guy to mess with.

Also prevents MDs because if the doubling was a night action, the mod has to wait until all actions are in or until the night phase time has expired. Then they tabulate actions and send out the doubling notice which may alter existing, already tabulated actions. Needs to be a day action.
I don't know how often I've said this, but mods generally run doubling as a day action. That means that gfish submits his action while the phase is open and as soon as it closes, the target is notified they have a second action. There are variants where the doubler performs the second action but that is only a variant. Given that gfish allegedly hasn't failed, I think a standard doubling.
And yes, I was doubled night 1 and I actually picked up on gfish's subtle hint on day 2. And I was notified immediately after the thread closed.
Interesting.
I didn't know this. I've been a doubler semi-recently and always sent in my action at night.
I'm still learning the mechanics of how these things are run after all these years.

I learned the hard way. I was a doubler in a Disney game and did not read my role properly. Then when I sent in a night action MSU pointed it out. He graciously allowed me to submit anyway but it caused all sorts of shenanigans and headaches for MSU. Since I learned the hard way, it's kind of engrained into my mod/player sensibilities.
Okay. So we're just going to end the day? I agree Gir should go but I don't understand this logic. Which probably means Roy is mafia and a few folks are helping him out.

It doesn't need to be, but it sure creates headaches if it is not a day action, or at the very least if it is not self-guided.

Yep. Had a night doubler in my Heroclix game, and it was a colossal pain. I chose not to inform the target until I was sure the doubled wasn't blocked, MD'd, etc... which at least once meant I told the doubled player they had another action after I had everybody else's actions. It was an experience I don't care to repeat.

I agree. There's plenty of time and while I'm not removing my vote on Gir so as to keep things "evenly pressured", I don't think Roy should be let off the hook from talking. Aegon could stand to chime in as well but I don't want to see us going in three directions.

I think "back in the day" when it was first being tried out, the timing problem was the first problem noted. I was a doubler in one of Stan's games and remember him commenting about this and mid game made it a day action. Then problems with blocks and misdirects started being realized in other games.

There are enough votes on Gir and we know he's shady if not outright scummy. Let's throttle back on him for a bit and talk to some other "shy" players. It's a weekday and plenty of hours.
