I have a question for everyone.

If I wanted to host a Mafia game, but only had access to a phone for all my gaming needs, what would be the easiest way to set up the Mafia thread?

Is there a website that is phone friendly and easy to use? Preferably one that is free to use as well, though I don't know if any of them charge people for using them.

I feel like it would be really hard to hide a Mafia thread on HCrealms where Town wouldn't find out who the Mafia was really easily and I don't know how group PMing would fare if there was a lot of Mafia people PMing at once.

Hi Heroic. I suggest you play a game on here as a player to get a feel for some of the meta stuff. I have not played in awhile, but generally the game is played on this site, and the Mafia coordinates in secret on another site where you can create a forum. We usually use: https://www.proboards.com/

Only the mafia are sent that link and its usually set up by the host or moderator.

I suggest reading through a game or two as well to get a feel for how stuff is handled on here as I know different sites have different lingo and way to handle powers and interactions.

I'm sure others will have more advise.

Given how I run my mafia games, I can only imagine it would be a nightmare if I had only a phone to work off of. Granted, I'm a write-up heavy moderator in my games, so a simple night write-up would resolve some of that.

It might be a bit cumbersome on a phone, but I use Google Docs for writing out all of my roles, and then I set up a Google Sheet to keep track of the phases and actions.

Last, to echo Silver Lantern, proboards is usually the way to go with a mafia thread. I would NOT recommend setting up a thread on HCRealms, as it will easily get found out. Keeping it to PM is cumbersome, and if users only have a standard account, it can get overwhelmed with PMs quickly.

So my recommendations based on how I run games:

Google Sheets for keeping track of players/actions.
Proboard for Mafia threads.
