I think we're still lacking the dial for Doopelganger, no?
Bullseye is awesome. The new Nightcrawler is nuts. Bagman kinda has to grow on you--it's like the offensive version of Impossible Man. JJJ is the new Con Artist (AWESOME on a Crisis GL Tank). Deadpool would be fun to use, and Cosmic spidey is HORRIFYING--makes susan Richards look like a piece of crap.
If that trait is right he can hit figs even cap can't

Attack - Special: Cosmic Spider-Man can use force blast. When he uses Force Blast, after the action is resolved he may use ranged combat expert as a free action targeting the same character.
Cosmic Spider-Man's line of fire is never blocked.

I picked a helluva set to bail out on.
Doppelganger has a starts with a naked 9 movement, 11 attack, 18 D and 3 Damage. He always has Flurry. He has a trait that does something along the lines of 'Characters with the Spider-Man TA and/or named Spider-Man can't evade his attacks'. His Sp is something like: Minion: When another character with a higher point cost is within 8 squares, and Doppelganger has exactly one action token, once per turn you may give the higher cost character a power action, Doppelganger may make a Close Combat Action as a Free Action.
Using that, you can have him push to do 4 attacks in a turn. He can be pretty nasty. Big counter to 4-6 spidey.

Word from the WK table is that the new Nightcrawler is being errata'd. They might up his cost or something. I dont' know, he's friggin' stupid though. The only way to kill him was basically for him to botch as some point during his matches, then you would work him down.
Anyway, went 4-1 today in Sealed World's Day 1. Lost in round 5 by 5 points. All excellent players, all incredible games, high energy, high adrenaline, very well though out.
My last game against Juan was particularly great as an example of high strategy, mobility, and slow, deliberate gameplay.
I have to work hard to make it through Floor tomorrow into day 3, but I think I'm ready for it.
My Sealed team was mediocre, and everyone was patting me on the back for making it as far as I did.
I would say the same for Charles, too. His team lacked the usual tool box figs, no power pieces, and we were seeded #'s 2 and 3 going into the last round.
Anyway, fun has been had, and I'm glad to say that Team Vegas is bringin' a good show to the tournament.

Great to hear! Keep up the good work. Focus and be deliberate. Think things through and look at all the possibilities.
I'm rooting for you guys.
Dustin has a good shot to make it through.
I had a good run. I went 2-1 in WOS sealed before dropping out. Went 4-1 today, and took 5th place.
Wont be playing floor, so that will have to stand on its own for my HC play this Gencon.
Since I finished 5th, I won a set of lanterns.
Therefore, I will be holding a "chase for lanters two" event for them sometime in the near future. Since these events have been on a saturday in the past (and Justin hasnt been able to go) I was thinking a sunday might work. But you all let me know.
Someone WILL win a WOS piece. Other cool prizes. So be there.
And, lets root for Dustin to bring home the gold !

Good luck Charles in the finals and good luck Dustin in the cronstructed event. Can't wait for chase two.

NECA continues to add their own stamp to the game. Unlike in the past, WoS figures will be legal in tournaments as of the release date.

So Ric Flair and Dusty Rhodes will have to wait to use their shinny new figures (assuming they didn't sell them at GenCon). But we can all throw them down Week 1. Tits
Well fellas, I'm out of the running. Worst dice I've ever thrown today.
First match went by like a breeze, taking out Iron Widow, Talia, and 3 Checkmate Knights (white).
Second Match went up against Wizard Shazam, Jason (w/etrigan), Karnilla and a Pog. Got the pog, got Jason, pulled him into the middle of my figs. Got down to him needing a 12 to hit Gamora, who had to be left exposed. He got it, and then the subsequent kill shot. After that he never missed a shapechange roll with Karnilla, or if he did, then I would roll terribly.
3rd round was a similar team, Wizard Shazam, Jason/Etrigan, Gamora. He fell into my killzone, shot with Cap, missed. Stab with Gamora, missed.
His Gamora got to mine, rolled a 12, rolled 6 on blades. Later his Gamora got to my Cap, rolled a hit, rolled a 6 on blades. I never hit his army.
Terrible when you get them into your trap, the mechanic works, but the luck factor lets you down.
I'll have to head up for revenge, one of these days.
Most commonly seen floor teams where ones like the Wiz Shazam described above, Bats/Cats, and 2x SI Spidey with 2x Jason Blood/Etrigan, Diana Prince, and a 19 point Amazon.

Oh, and another factor in the games, losing both map rolls and having to play on the Web of SPider-man map.
I'm torn on this map. Its cool looking, and was a lot of fun for the Web Pieces, with more 'street level' pieces, but kind of sucked for constructed.
There is basically no terrain on it. It is kind of like a 2 player version of the Great Arena, with 2 starting areas, 4 elevated areas in the corners, and then a big stretch of open ground in the middle. Water on the borders.
Issue was with Wizard Shazam, once he was in the middle of the map, there was essentially no square he could not see to shoot to. If your initial attack run failed, there is no place to recoup or restage, you're just totally exposed.
Commonly used characters with 8-10 range and running shot with dominate on that map, hands down. Especially with flight. Moonstone, Iron Man, on a little map like that, you can't get past their range anywhere.

well dustin that sucks im sorry to hear that but you did represent well and now you can enjoy sun on the floor or play in battle royals and other fun stuff like that
