Nah, I'm good.

I'm going away to camp for the first time in two days, and packing is a #####.

Honest question, are you allowed to "Camp" on the Sabbath? Or is that considered an activity outside normal life?

Well sleep away camping isn't "camping." I'm not sleeping in a tent in the forest. I'm going to the mountains in Pennsylvania and sleeping in bunk, and spending most my day in an air conditioned synagogue, or lunch room, or recreation room etc.

That said, camping itself isn't inherently forbidden on sabbath. It isnt unordinary activities that are forbidden on sabbath. Its actually the every day activities. Creative labor is forbidden, so thats things like building, breaking, cutting, writing, erasing, burning, cooking, threshing, winnowing (i really have to fight my urge to winnow on the sabbath) etc. So if I were to perform one of these forbidden acts of creative labor while camping, that would be forbidden. But just sleeping outside in a tent isn't inherently bad.

But yeah, Jewish sleep away camp is not real camping. We're wusses I'm sharing a bunk with 4 guys, and its basically like having a room in a bungalow colony.

Nah those are not ok. Can't kindle fires, and can't cook/boil. All food has to be prepared before Sabbath.

Making coffee is life-sustaining.

The natural thought process is that Doomsie is a mutant? Hmmm. Interesting notion. He does kinda have that Kid Omega vibe about him, Doomsie does. You know, the whole "OY! Magneto Was Right!" schtick.
