What if, by chance, this monster traveling around and killing people is Batman? Didn't it say somewhere that it is a man who transforms into a monster?

And going back to the first day, I'm curious about who the character is who stood up for the guards. It said something about his eyes flaring with electricity, and I can't think of any Batman character with electrical powers.

Maxie Zeus. The part of about becoming Gods is a dead giveaway -- he's trying to remake Olympus. Of course, in a Lovecraft game, becoming gods can be a completely different thing.
