Watch Johnny Depp's Transcendence, some interesting theory about ones consciousness taking over the internet but overall... I almost fell asleep.

Yeah, the best 15 minutes of Thor 2 was "All Hail the King," as that pretty much redeemed Iron Man 3 completely for me.

Watched it with my daughter (my 2nd viewing). Enjoyed all of it except the end (again). Just left me with a 'huh, that's it?' kind of feeling.
Yeah, that was my thought. I thought it was an okay movie (the misfire was hilarious), but the ending was just um... that's it?

Saw Knights of Badassdom was free to stream via Xbox Live and I had been meaning to check it out. Not entirely what I was expecting. Some parts were okay, a few decent laughs, but overall it didn't really do much for me. Felt more like something made for the web, or something that would've been decent 20ish years ago (ala Evil Dead). I'm not sure how they got Steve Zaughn and Peter Dinklage to be in it (along with a few others).
Don Jon- I liked it. Almost seemed like a guy's rom/com but I think that's only in my warped mind.
The characters aren't very sympathetic and they're people you'd never date. It's frivolous and full of bull####. But......put together.....it was this weird little movie that I found myself liking as a whole.
probably the best Scarlet Johansson has ever looked. Ever. But her character....geez. Also, Tony Danza cusses. A lot.

I saw it for free on Xbox Live yesterday as well.
It was...OK. It really made no sense and was kind of boring. At least it was free and I didn't really waste my time watching it as I was washing and folding laundry as it played.

The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug. It held my interest for about the first half of the movie, but by the second half, I drifted off into paying attention to other stuff.
Watched Thor 2. Not bad. Though some of these could really do with a small drop-in about what else is going on in the world that no other Avengers come to help out. IM3, Th2, and Cap2 all have a conspicuous absence of help when it seems most needed...

It was enjoyable. Not as laugh out loud funny or tight as some of the other more recent comedies in the same vein (This is the End, etc). A strong first act that kind of dwindles a bit through the second act. Some scenes felt a little long, extending a joke beyond its most funny point.
Rose Byrne was great, and Zac Effron held his own. Seth Rogen is his usual character, so nothing really astounding from him. Overall an interesting take on the "Frat Movie" genre. Worth seeing in theaters if you enjoy seeing comedies with a big group (I've always enjoyed a full theater for comedies personally). Other than that, might be worth waiting for the DVD.
Watched Top Secret (1980s Val Kilmer version) again last night. It still has its moments. If you aren't familiar with the 80s you won't get some of the jokes, but if you grew up in them it is pretty funny.

Don Jon is on Netflix, and the wife was interested when it came out. So we gave it a shot.
Somehow, bad Jersey accents make two of the hottest people in Hollywood practically unwatchable. Sorry to actual Jersey folk, but this just did not work for me.

I watched the ABCs of Death. 26 short segments, each by a different director, most of them mediocre or just plain awful. A few worthwhile bits in the mess though, so it didn't feel like a complete waste of time.
