Me either. I'm fine with two, and that seems to be the number for a lot of people I meet. More than that and you're spending waaay too much on a hobby. Which is fine if you can afford it, but most of us can't.

Thanks friend! It was my first time teaching someone by myself and I thought it went over pretty well. The thing that seemed to take a while to sink in was that not everyone can just run up a few squares and shoot. After he gets more comfortable with the powers and abilities is when I'll explain why it would be bad if everyone in the game could do that.
I didn't even say anything about resources, relics, entities, and a myriad of other things that add to the complication of the game, and I think that's the way it should be until you get comfortable with the things that the characters can do by themselves. I enjoy playing those things, they just aren't something that needs to be around when you're teaching. If you're still trying to figure out running shot, you don't need to be messing around with things that grant it when you didn't have it to begin with, and why being granted something like that is so powerful.
Skirmish mode may be very similar, but the campaign mode is pretty different. 1 player is the imperials (lots and lots of dudes), and up to 4 other players are rebel agents (choosing from smugglers, soldiers, jedi, wookies, that kind of stuff). You play a series of missions that play off each other, and the imperial player is the only one that has all the info, so they are also somewhat DMing the experience.

For the rebels its kind of like that, since they only have an idea of what their next mission is and generally what they have to do. The Imperial player has the missing book and knows everything.
One of my favorite things about the game is the upgrade trees. The rebels get skills and items, and the imperials get skills that they can put on troops or general battle alterations, and another set of cards that can be suprise attacks or other missions you can force on the rebels.
So this one comes with figures of the characters from the movies instead of the ships?
yup - you dont really play any of the big names in the campaign though (in skirmish you can). They mostly show up - or can be earned - in the missions.

Sounds kind of like the Justice League Strategy Game!

You saying that wookiees can't be soldiers, jedi, etc.?
Speciesist.

For real though, Dice Masters is a really fun game. I think it has a lot of qualities that could help it become one of the most popular, more prominent collectible games.
