Speaking of pop culture, Megan Thee Stallion is getting a dial, right?

Haha truthfully, I'd considered dialing Megan Thee Stallion until I saw how brief her role was. Didn't seem to merit a dial outside of the novelty of her cameo. That said, I think I've got a fun idea for how we could adapt her.
Oh, Madisynn is a MUST add, full agree. Haha I see the comedy version of her and the serious version of her acting WAY differently.
I’m completely on board with Titania as a Kardashian-esque influencer, both because it works for the 21st century, and because influencer culture seems to be Jameela Jamil’s personal nemesis, so to see her turn it into a supervillain feels right. Plus, ugh. Influencers.
ASK ME ONCE I’LL ANSWER TWICE JUST WHAT I KNOW I’LL TELL BECAUSE I WANNA!
SOUND DEVICE AND LOTS OF ICE I'LL SPELL MY NAME OUT LOUD BECAUSE I WANNA!

Haha agreeeeed.
Honestly seems like a smart update of She-Hulk & Titania's original feud.

Haha fair deal, I'll add Luke to the list.
Fair warning, though: I'm probably going to lean heavily into comedy rules for these characters...
As much as the cameos may seem like cynical attention ploys, they’re kinda central to the concept of She-Hulk as an attorney to the superheroes. Do the camels take away from her? I’d say no, they don’t. Hulk is there to establish her origin and nothing else. He leaves the moment that’s done. Abomination is there to test her resolve to set aside personal feelings for what’s right (and maybe to be the secret villain, we don’t know). Wong is there to show just how weird her life as a super-lawyer will be. Daredevil will likely be more about Jen and Matt facing off in the courtroom, giving her a worthy opponent to flex her legal muscle against. What could be cynical name-drops so far have been highly relevant to who she is and what she’s about.
And boy, if this writer thinks the cameos in the show are gratuitous, he should read the books this show takes most of its inspiration from. A golden age heroine wants to get back into comics so she can stop aging again. Howard the Duck sues George Lucas for breach of contract. Hank Pym solves superprison crowding by making the prison smaller. John Byrne shows up to get berated on the creative decisions he makes. She goes in a space trucker adventure with Howard the Duck and US Archer, the space trucker, because of course there’s a space trucker.
The cameos in the show feel honestly quaint compared to what you’re used to if you actually read She-Hulk. They’re dialing it BACK.

From the way his review reads, it's less that the show has copious cameos (I, myself, don't mind them as a matter of course. They've been well-handled in previous episodes), but that the series has a pattern of relying on a few of them in the place of letting She-Hulk shine as the protagonist of her own show. There's nothing wrong with cameos; it's the vibe with how the show employs them and how the 4th wall breaks seem to treat the audience's presumed response to them.
More, Mooney has some very sound things to say about how the series --which does have this fantastic pedigree from the Byrne & Slott runs-- feels like it's struggling to justify itself as a sitcom comedy and to consistently do so week to week.
I was amazed to learn in his review that the showrunner discovered to her surprise that few of her coworkers in the writer's room had experience writing legal fare, which explains why the court cases have taken a backseat in a number of episodes.
It DOESN'T explain why the show is failing to capitalize on all the great prompts from the Byrne era you listed. I'm not sure if it's a question of budget or intended scope of the show.
The sad thing is, the show's potential is plain, and a few episodes have come close to being the best version of itself. I'm happy for those triumphs, but I feel like a combination of disappointing writing and bad studio notes led to this show being weaker than it honestly could be.
But not all hope is lost! There are 3 episodes left, and maybe they'll all kick ass?
Finally caught up, and I’m still loving this show. I even really dig this take on Craig Hollis/Mr. Immortal. He still feels like the same character at his core, still the egotist who thinks he’s a good guy, just a serial monogamist instead of a wannabe superhero.
The She-Hulk/Titania fight was fun, and I really have to give the show props for not only predicting their real-world antagonists, and then incorporating them into the show as “The Intelligencia”. Yeah, this show knew who would hate it, and now they get to be in the show! Maybe they’ll even have the honor of getting punched by She-Hulk!

haha yeah, I liked the reveal of Intelligensia too for that reason. We know Frog Man is coming, and I’ve heard it theorized that he was chosen to be a thematic tie to make fun of Pepe the Frog, which sounds smart as hell to me.
