Simple, the busdriver targets two people. The RT still sees the busdriver targeting the swapped player.

He swapped you and MSU, and thus hail was targeting you, and saw himself and Kedryn targeting.

Heh, anbd I think I totally called Kedryn busdriving MSU, too. Hail's Reverse Tracking, aside from not targeting me the night I died, was actually pretty helpful...

Pity he did not use his daykill. He could have confirmed/blown MSU's claim and the town still would have had time to lynch to finish him off, which would have saved two-three town days.

Speaking of shocked, I have to say I was quite shocked that not a single RT'er / Protective-type / etc. thought, "Hey, let's target the outted info-gatherer."
