I wasn't sure if I wanted it up in the first place, but put it up anyway. When no one commented at all in 4-5 hours I went ahead and took it down since no one was interested.
For what it's worth...I very much enjoy reading about ALL the various teams you guys construct --- more often than not, with great results. Skills-wise, I'm an average player -- at best -- but whatever the game, I've always enjoyed building teams/decks more than anything.
Being more of a DC fan, I kinda envy you folks who get to use non-Marvel figures for the IG events. At our place, it's been Marvel only.
That said...love reading about your teams, guys!

It was tough in the beginning but a little time provides better perspective.
One catch away is better than being one entire month of September away, Ziggy!
Much as I know the Pats' Super Bowl loss stung you, as you point out, your guys gave it their all. That makes the healing process a whole lot easier. As opposed to what Red Sox fans were left with, thanks to Fenway Park's fried chicken-biscuits-beer brigade of millionaires...
But what the heck. Pitchers and catchers reported today! Unconditional love is in the air.
Tim Burton was right: "A square jaw does not a Batman make." Steve Buscemi as the next Batman! Luke Perry as Joker! Let's make it happen!
I hope TJ can make it into town tomorrow for our Supremacy League challenge. I've been play testing the heck outta this team and I can't find anything that can beat it easily.

Joe Mauer has a clean bill of health, with no injuries going into spring training. Any bets on how long that lasts?
Let's see, opening day is when, and he's going to be behind the dish? I'll give it 3 months from now. It seems the enormous weight of his staggering contract has weakened his knees too much.

On a related note, my brother called me today to talk about how Fort Myers is only about a 10-11 hour drive. He's thinking road trip. I think he's nuts!

Don't get me wrong...I love dice. I think everybody here knows that about me. I don't think I could be a fan of buying RANDOM dice and/or having duplicates. It's one thing to buy random Heroclix becuase you could still USE some of your duplicates in games or for trades, but there are a finite number of dice you can use in a game. Sure, there are trade possibilities there, but I don't want to end up with 6 pairs of Superman dice trying to get ONE PAIR of Green Lantern dice (Or anything else I like more than Superman.)

It is funny, I am getting some reeeeeally different views on this topic. I have been told to do anything from 100% blind with completely random dice (meaning no guaranteed pairs) to only selling pairs. Here is the catch:
If I only sell pairs, I will have to sell them at like $7.50 a pair to make them remotely worth it. If someone wanted a pair of Batman dice, they would just buy 1 pair and never buy any more product. This is very bad for the seller. However, if I sell only Blind dice with no guarantee of a pair, then the occasional collector will buy a pack or two extra trying to pull his Batman pair. If I sell in a pack of 4 for $5, he may spend $15 trying to get the pair he could have bought for half that, but he would also have 12 dice instead of 2.
The more knowledgeable the customer is when actually buying the dice, the more I can charge (pay more for less risk), but the more risk to the purchase, the more incentive I need to give by lowering the price. There has to be a balance between what is the best model in the seller's eyes, and what is the best model in the buyer's eyes. The buyer needs to be happy with his purchase, but the average buyer also needs to buy more than they really need to keep the business afloat. That is why I like the idea of the Common and Uncommon boosters.
If the buyer just wants JLA dice, they can buy 6 packs of the common dice at $8.50 a pop. They spend less than $2 a die, and they have a few extra matched pairs from higher rarities. Yes they have some duplicates, but not a ridiculous amount (if you buy a brick, you will have 2 pair of each common minus 1, and you will be lacking 1 uncommon pair, which can be bought from 1 Uncommon booster with no risk). I will most likely not be able to make it in the business if I do not convince the average buyer to buy more than 1 pack; which means no dice for anyone.
SLVR, I like your idea about all the commons being dual colored (Cap's shield in just White and Blue, Superman's logo in just Blue and Red) but then having the SRs be all hand painted in full color. What does everyone else think?
I would pay more for dice to not buy them blind. Buying blind leads to all the headaches of any collectable, and I don't want another collectable hobby.
I'm surprised you would have to sell them for that much, also.

I agree with this. I don't want to hunt down dice. The aftermarket is where the prices will go up if you have SR dice and sell them separate from the pack. Either people will really be into them, or they'll let them pass which is what I would see happening. I've overpaid for dice and I've kicked myself in the behind for it.
