This is for all the novice players and players recently new to the game. I know there is an excitment from busting open boosters, but there is another option to get quality figures in bulk.

For the older sets, you can go on eBay and pick up CUR sets, or just common or uncommon sets for really good prices. It comes out to under $1 per figure, taking shipping into account.

I highly recommend doing this for Secret Invasion. You can get a full CUR for $50. Take a look at the set in the Units section. And consider how many of those figures were played at the Chase tourneys this year.

I also recommend picking up Avengers or Justice League sets. You can find them between $5-$12 for C & Us and there are CUR sets available as well.

All three have several elite level figs and numeroues tier 2 solid playable figs. This is a great way to build up your collection and improve the quality and varity of whay is played on the map.

I have the 2 Supes from Crisis, All 4 Starro slaves, all 4 chases from Origin and many many older LE's (think boxes). I still want (more than need) an Odin, Kurse, Seth and Nico from HOT. Since I'm not much a completest anymore I thinking cash or something along those lines.......I think we've met once or twice Roland as I saw Dave (Bubblehead) play at your venue when I was visiting last time and maybe once more at WWLA.

I didn't know it was supposed to be out wednesday, but I guess it is. No real announcement, eh?
But it seems some stores already have 'em, some stores are waiting for wednesday, and some stores have been told it doesn't ship till October 31st.

What a monster of a weekend!

The Hurricanes righted the ship and took care of business against North Carolina. Although it took them a half to get their heads in the game. 3-1 in conference play. JaCorey kills me sometimes, as everyone at PT's heard me scream on Sat.

Josh Freeman is offically Mr. 4th Quarter. Another 4th quarter come from behind win for the Buccaneers. Epic win, but again another 1st half that drove me crazy. Pissed me off so much I had to take a timeout and walk around the building to clear my head. Cursing at a "family" sports bar bad...Cheering for your team good.

UFC 121 was fixed, plain and simple. Will never buy another UFC ppv again. Dana White oozes slime.
But Matt Hamill's post fight interview was classic. Nearly pissed myself laughing. Joe Rogan actually asked a professional fighter if his feelings were hurt.


And don't forget about all the clix.

Tony Romo just broke his left clavicle!

I could blog for pages about all the clix this weekend. Sufficet to say it was tremendous. Amazing trading and a reenergizing of the scene. And Dave's crew brought it. And I imagine will continue to bring it. Notice has been served Daemen, Nick, and Austin. Time to step your game up.


...And speaking of "step ya game up"; Dumbo what on Earth are you doing serving notice!?!? You've been playing in single-A for months now and still haven't won a tourney. You're coming back to the Majors now son.
